This is going to be a long review. I'll start with the simple stuff. If you're going to Nashville to party and not spend too much time in your room, this a place for you. If you need some quiet to work remotely or like your beauty sleep, this is not the place for you.
I will start with the food things. The kitchen was beautiful and well stocked. The bathroom walls looked under small renovations but it was fine. Large shower. Beds were comfy and blankets were good quality. There were some cute games in the room to play.
So to start the trip, the listing was incorrect. This place does not have laundry at all even though it shows it does. I tried to cancel because I purposely booked because of laundry but they offered a discount instead so I thought I would try to make it work. We appreciated that you tried to help so we through we would give it a try. Then we got there and realized it was not the same as what we thought we ordered. Parking was a nightmare. Uber was easy but parking at night is no good and the area isn't that safe so if you're by yourself there, don't rent a car. Take Uber.
The walls are so thin, you can hear everything in all the rooms around you. I thought this seemed like a nice business work place based on other Avant Stay locations and information I looked up before booking but it was impossible to get any work done in there, or sleep.
The room itself was very clean, just the heater was so dirty but did the job. Toilet didn't really flush well but we dealt with it. We asked for someone to come while we were away for a couple days to fix it. They said they would and never came, then they tried to lie and say they did come but I purposely left a small piece of toilet paper in the toilet to see if it was flushed down upon returning, and it wasn't so I know that no one came.
I also asked for fresh towels and they didn't come. I had to send a second reminder before they were brought in. When they finally did come to bring the towels we were gone for a couple days. We had organic rice packet and 2 bags of Peets coffee beans stolen from our room after allowing housekeeping to bring towels in when we were not there. I was pretty shocked by this especially after the whole noise thing the first night.
The first night, we got a message implying we were making alot of noise and we were a little disturbed by that because if they had actually come to check where the sound was coming from, they would have known who it was because it was pretty evident who it was. I almost called the police it was so bad so it just proves that the issue was not actually dealt with and they just a reminder was sent to anyone in that area hoping people would be quiet. Day and night, you can hear people yelling, talking and music playing through the walls.
If you're looking to enjoy your room and for a little piece and quiet for some remote work, don't book here. We did find out later that the building is framed in wood so there is minimal insulation between the walls. We will not be staying here again. If you're there to party, then this might be good for you. It seems like alot of groups were booking there. Don't leave any valuables in your room if you have any services coming...

Avant Stay, the Conway in Nashville appears to have a magnetic charm with its appealing location and seemingly inviting atmosphere. However, there are several critical aspects that need attention to truly meet guests' expectations.
Cleanliness Concerns While the property shows potential, the cleanliness levels were less than satisfactory during my stay. Dust accumulated on the ceiling fans was significant enough to discourage usage, and the vents in the living area featured a noticeable layer of black grime, suggesting infrequent maintenance. Windows, doors, and baseboards also reflected a similar lack of attention to detail in cleaning, impacting the overall experience.
Maintenance and Design Issues The facilities, likely repurposed from older apartments, display clear signs of wear. Notably, there was a large cigarette burn on the kitchen island, which detracts from the otherwise stylish look of the space. In the bathrooms, the shower design seems flawed, with inadequate floor protection that could lead to water damage if not addressed soon.
Accessibility Limitations One significant concern is the accessibility of the property. The presence of a long staircase and absence of ADA accommodations make it challenging for those with mobility needs. This is an important consideration for future guests and something that could be improved for inclusivity.
The Conway offers a promising location and a façade of comfort, it requires enhancement in key areas to truly shine. With a stronger focus on cleanliness, maintenance, and accessibility, it has the potential to live up to the positive reviews it often receives. For those considering a stay, be mindful of the current limitations and weigh them against your personal priorities for comfort and accessibility.

Read moreI wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for your assistance during my recent stay at Avant Stay, the Conway. Your efforts to accommodate an early check-in were genuinely appreciated and reflect your dedication to guest satisfaction. As someone who reviews hotels professionally, my expectations are naturally high, but I understand that others may have different perspectives|| Cleanliness and Maintenance||While the property's location and layout hold great potential, certain aspects stood out that could enhance the experience for future guests. The ceiling fans, for example, had accumulated a noticeable amount of dust, rendering them unusable. Additionally, the living area vents appeared overdue for cleaning, as indicated by a layer of black grime. Windows, doors, and baseboards could also benefit from more detailed attention.||Addressing maintenance issues, such as the cigarette burn on the kitchen island and possible water damage in the bathroom due to design flaws, would go a long way in creating a more inviting environment. These details may seem minor but can significantly impact the guest experience.||Accessibility|accessibility is an important consideration. The long staircase and absence of ADA-compliant features may present challenges for guests with mobility concerns. The issue is not knowing. Not being able to make an educated choice.||The concierge was helpful I think with some refinements in cleanliness, maintenance, and accessibility, the property could better align with the high standards evidenced by...
