Disappointing Experience with Rude Cashier
I had an unpleasant experience at this Aldi branch today around 3:50 PM. My family and I were doing light shopping, and there were three cashier lines open—or so it seemed. When we approached the first cashier, they placed a "closed" sign and told us to go to the next one. The second cashier did the same, leaving us confused. We eventually approached a third line that appeared open but had no visible cashier.
When we asked which line was open, a male cashier, rudely snapped, "Come here, don’t you see I’m open? There are three lines open." When we pointed out that two other lines had "closed" signs, he aggressively insisted, "They are working," and continued to speak in a dismissive and impolite manner, saying, "I don’t need to look, just pay and go."
This kind of unprofessional, rude, and borderline hostile behavior was extremely disappointing, we left our shopping behind and didn’t buy anything. It felt not only disrespectful but also inappropriate for a customer-facing role. While the store itself is usually fine, this employee's attitude made me feel uncomfortable, nervous, and disrespected.
I hope management addresses this issue to ensure that no other customers face...
Read moreI was shopping in there, and there was three people ahead of us with a carriage full of food, and three people behind me, and I said to the manager I said excuse me and he looked at me while I was saying excuse me could you get somebody to open up another Lane, and he looked at me and kept walking I go well that was kind of rude, then all of a sudden he got mad watch back and started reprimanding me saying she has it under control it's only six people in line, instead of saying I'm sorry man we'll get another cashier, then he sits there and says I want to speak to you after you're done in line, like I'm 12 years old, I'm 54, he was so rude and disrespectful, and once we got to the cashier he was waiting for me to tell me that I wasn't coming allowed to come back into the store, which I already said to him I will never come back here again and as soon as I find out who owns it I'm going to complain about him, and even the customer said it I didn't do anything wrong and he had no right to sit there and reprimand to me and tell me he wants to talk to me once I'm done with the cashier, like I said he should have sat there and said I'm sorry ma'am I'll see if I can get another cashier, but no he was totally young rude and...
Read moreBest supermarket ever. Simple, easy to find stuff. They dont carry thousands of brand for the same thing. Want peanut butter? Here you go - organic and not organic. Two brands, 3 tops. That's it. Not ginormous aisles filled with stuff people will never buy. Actually made grocery shopping fun again.
Love the quarter-for-cart idea (although I often lyft get caught without a coin and am put in a little predicament 🤣🤣🤣), but the whole set up of the thing looks lovely to me.
And for the people complaining about the cashiers just dumping stuff on the cart - that's the way they keep our products affordable. Less people workers, therefore the ones that are there need to be agile. It's not disrespect or rudeness on their end. They need to clear the line so you won't be holding for 30min to ring your groceries. So, they leave organizing our groceries for ourselves - therefore that huge space right past the cashiers to organize your bags.
Really don't do grocery shopping anywhere else. Gorgeous well-maintained store, efficient employees and the prices are THE BEST, COMPARED TO ANYWHERE! Plus it's a minute and a half drive from my apartment, which is just...
