I was a full season vendor for the 2017 summer farmers market. It is a small but vibrant market that is held one Sunday a month during summer. 2017 was the second season of the market which is run entirely by volunteers.
Very reasonable vendor fee of $20 + marketing fee for 2017. The market owns the sales tax license so they are paid at the end of each market. All vendors must be local and products made by the vendor.
There is usually live entertainment every market. I've seen livestock to pumpkin patches. It is a dog friendly market. On-site port-a-john available for the market.

We got roasted chili peppers (roasted there so they are extremely fresh). Also got lovely mugs and soap dispensers. Very small, but beautiful and fresh items to buy....
