I drove from Westminster on my birthday because all I wanted was a bagel! (I missed LI, NY and had just moved a few months before.) Ended up walking out with a dozen everything to freeze so I had them for the rest of the week!
While we were there, we had such a nice lunch. I got a SEC (sausage egg cheese) on an Everything bagel that did not disappoint. I think maybe my eggs weren’t scrambled enough (but that sounds like a big ole’ ME problem, doesn’t it? lol)
Decent is clean, well-kept, and fairly priced. A lot of poor reviews here seem to be about cost, which is wild considering the state of our economy and what it takes to run a small business that pays their workers fairly in a small town, but I digress…
If you’re looking for any quality bagel or breakfast sandwich in a small town like this and you stumble upon Decent bagel you should seriously be thanking your lucky stars! This is a GEM of a spot in Nederland.
Thank you for bringing some NY love to CO 💌
EDIT: seed to bagel ratio is insanely perfect! Very important, almost...
Read moreI was recently visiting a friend and he hadn't been here yet but it was strongly encouraged we try it. And let me tell you, though low expectations ("Decent" Bagel) it was a high reward! I'm not ashamed to say we went 3 days in a row...!!
We tried it all - the weekend specialty bagel sandwiches, built our own, and of course kept it simple with just a bagel and cream cheese. Absolutely phenomenal. And don't skip the vegan hot chocolate!
The staff are wonderful individuals. The owner was walking around talking with customers, opening the door for guests, and by the 3rd day he was asking our names haha. The establishment is kept simple and open, but would love to see some local art pieces in there.
I came back to Wisconsin with a container of their Everything Bagel mix and a new expectation for bagels! Can't wait to visit CO again and get me a couple...
Read moreDrove all the way from Broomfield to try this place and it was the most disappointing bagel I’ve ever had. It was so overtoasted and hard, I only ate about a quarter of the full send sandwich I was so excited to try.
I also ordered a half dozen bagels which were toasted and came out hot, which I find a little weird since those should be soft and chewy and up to me if I want to toast them or not, because now if I reheat them they’ll be even harder than they already are. The only thing I liked was the veggie cream cheese which is now useless because I don’t even have any bagels to eat them with!
So disappointing, but I’m not sure what I expected from a place that calls themself “Decent” at what they make. Wasted $70, my time and gas for a sad, sub par, barely...
