So much lost potential with this place. The atmosphere isn’t THAT bad. However, the flies are awful. They know it’s an issue since they have fly tape hanging from the ceiling in multiple places. The food, super bland. I get it, buying premade is easier. If you’re going to buy stuff in bulk and deep fry it, you could A) make sure it’s not over fried and B) seasoned with something other than grease. Water is sitting in pitchers, already iced, on the table with plastic cups stacked on top. The pitchers were sweating on to paper plates underneath them, that were attracting flies/gnats. No way to tell how long the water was sitting in there, but the ice was melting and the dinginess just made it almost worth choking down the dry food. The schnitzel sandwich was wafer thin, over cooked and under seasoned. Very dry since it was overly deep fried. Served with giant slices of onion, wilted lettuce and iffy tomatoes, not ripe and hard. I drowned this sandwich in mayo (reluctantly given up packets from the kitchen), chopped the onions better on my plate(they were an inch thick and in huge slices) and made it more edible. Slightly. The tuna melt - not on the menu- listed as a special on a hand written sign as “soon to be famous” - beware it’s spicy. It’s not your typical tuna melt and other than the spice, which I’m guessing is probably jalapeño, is about the only flavor that came through. The fries were over cooked, hollow even and completely unseasoned. The waitresses seemed upset that there were customers that had the audacity to order food and bother them. I’m not even sure who our waitress was as there were only 2 women that came to the table. One to take the order, one to bring the order, she did return with mayo packets but just kind of tossed them at the table as she walked by. Neither seemed happy to actually be dealing with customers. The place has potential if it’s cleaned up, the staff is retrained and the food gets attention. It’s over priced for under performing food and staff.

I came here with my girlfriend for a quick little bite to eat around 6pm on a Monday. Atmosphere is more saloon than restaurant, but don't underestimate their kitchen and menu. Service was excellent from the moment we walked in, to when we left. Clean place for a saloon restaurant. My girlfriend ordered the meatball slider and sweet potato fries. The meatball slider was incredible. Cooked perfectly, and very fresh tasting. The sweet potato fries were also cooked perfectly, and both items were hot and fresh. I ordered the Texas Red Chili, and a side salad with ranch dressing. The chili was very good, topped with cheese, onion, and a roasted pepper. Delicious. The side salad was basic, but good, with the dressing on the side which is a plus, and it was good ranch dressing. All in all a very good experience, we will be returning!

Classic small-town spot with hearty food and a cozy, old-west vibe. The red chili was absolutely amazing—rich, flavorful, and the kind of dish you’d come back for. The French onion soup and garden salad was just okay, but everything else we saw coming out of the kitchen looked generous and satisfying. Friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere make it a nice stop if you’re in town and craving comfort food with character.

Honestly, I was expecting this place to be amazing as our family friends come here often and have never had anything horrible to say about it. My family and I came here, as we have been camping the past few nights and the moment we walked in we felt so unwelcome. The server was extremely rude. We specifically chose this place because of the talk of it being dog friendly. We had three dogs with us, and completely understand it can be stressful for some people, but our dogs are small and extremely calm. She immediately looks at us and says “oh my god. who brings three dogs to a restaurant.” While there was 2 dogs already sitting on the patio, and a sign on the front door stating that the patio was “dog friendly”. We have a bigger family, so she sits us down at a small picnic table with a larger one diagonal from us. Instead of being squished we moved to the bigger one (because there was no one in the restaurant eating), and looks directly at us and says “No. You all will be eating here.” and proceeds to get into an argument saying she has a problem with my family eating at this establishment. We got up and immediately left. While I understand things can be stressful for servers, there was no one in this restaurant eating except for maybe 3 tables. She didn’t want us eating there from the moment we walked in. They should teach this woman some respect, because we all walked in and gave her nothing but smiles and happiness, and was ready to sit down and eat. I have never in my life experienced someone as rude as this woman, and I cannot believe this place has her as a server. Completely baffling that she is rude to people in the place she works. Doesn’t help that my entire family is of hispanic descent. Felt like she didn’t want us there because we weren’t locals or white. It’s 2023, let’s learn some love for other races. Wont...

Tried the Covered Wagon for lunch and sad to say we will never go back. The service while sitting at the bar was abhorrent on a number of levels. Place was a bit crowded but the speed the food came out was uneven with a party that arrived a good bit after us receiving a lunch of sandwiches and fry's while we continued to wait for an order of 2 soups and a BLT. When we asked the "bartender" if he could check on our order he was obviously annoyed and after heading to the kitchen came back with a nonspecific answer of "it's a small kitchen and there are nine tickets on the line" while afterwards grumbling to the couple seated near us "it's not like it's fast food". After hearing that we asked to cash out and were given a bill for our whole meal to which we responded that we would only be paying for the ice teas we had drank while waiting for the past half hour. Threatening to leave seemed to spur the staff to action and suddenly our food arrived. Unfortunately my lunch partner had asked for swiss cheese on her sandwich which was missing. When asking the same bartender if he could get her a slice of cheese he again stormed back to the kitchen to return holding a semi mangled slice of cheese in his bare hand while mumbling something about "no plates". That was it, we cashed out and left, feeling fully treated like tourists while being long time locals hoping for another place to frequent in town. Sadly, it's unlikely we will return, particularly if the rockabilly joker behind the bar is still there. With that kind of service can't see these folks making it more then another year, so perhaps we can try again when it moves to...
