Carolina Creations — Local services in New Bern

I called Carolina Creations on 5/14 to check the availability of an item listed on its website at $400. The owner pleasantly acknowledged that it was was indeed available. I confirmed the online price of $400 and was informed that payment could be made online. After the phone call I went online to purchase the item and its price was now listed at $750, not $400. I called the next morning and spoke to the owner who remembered me and immediately stated that the item was $750 plus tax without addressing the inexplicable increase. She added that she never told me the price was $400 with which I respectfully disagree. Anyway, that’s a moot point in that the online listed price on her website at the time of my initial phone call was $400. Does a business have the prerogative to increase the price of an item? Of course. Does it seem unusual for this to occur after speaking to a buyer on the phone who is then surprised to discover that the price has been increased from $400 to $750 when he then goes online to purchase it after that phone...

The food was AMAZING but the bartender was our server for my bday dinner and she was less than ideal. Her drinks were amazing, esp the blackberry margarita lol, but she was rather rude at the tail end. We had a large group, she didn't ask if we wanted separate checks, she just dropped one very large check at the table and disappeared. Then she was rude/curt to my friends when they finally found her to separate the check, she treated them like they were wasting her time. The food was OUTSTANDING, that's why I gave 4 stars, it would be 5 if not for her very unprofessional behavior. But if she ends up being my server again, I'm probably going to ask for...

I just adore popping into this store when I am visiting New Bern. I have found so many wonderful cards created by a hand full of local artists. I send out a lot of cards and postcards to family and friends around the country; they love when I send them artwork in the mode of a card. The selection is great. I enjoy walking around the store finding great gifts as well. If you are an art lover and enjoy supporting local talent, this is a great place to shop!
