Splash of Rouge Nail Salon — Local services in New Braunfels

I been meaning to make this review for a long time ! I really loved them at first ! Than my friend who likes her nails done properly was not happy with them when she got done and asked to fix her toes before she left. They did at least do that but before she left they told her nothing we do here is good enough for you so please don’t come back ! She was never nasty or rude just asked politely . I was in shock ! That day i asked for a design that they agreed they can do but it looked like a child did it so I said just take it off and it’s ok I’m fine without it ! Meanwhile my shellac did look good so I was ok with it ! So I decided to try them one more time and they knew Who I was! The owner and his wife saw me walk in and said nothing ! There was another man who greeted me and he took me back to do my shellac! No one said one word to me the whole time I got services and other people came in and they did acknowledge them and asked them for a drink and etc! My nails looked horrible that was the first time and I felt like he did that on purpose! In a nut shell the owners are very cocky and I don’t know why! Me being born and raised here in New Braunfels have never seen a nail salon treat someone like that! Get some southern hospitality! And newsflash there going to be people who do not like there services and that’s life! But it’s your job to make it right cause we don’t owe you nothing ! We are paying customers we don’t get services for free! Great customer service is making things right! No one is perfect but if you had class you would not talk to people like that! The reason I give it two starts is because I have come to this salon three times. The first two times, Nam worked on my toes and someone else worked on my gel manicure. Loved it both times! They were detail oriented and so friendly! I even started recommending this place to so many of my friends, family, and co-workers. The last time I went, I had an appointment at 4:15. I wasn't seen until 5:00. At no point did they come and say to me " we apologize for the wait or someone will be right with you." When I finally got someone, the gentleman was not too friendly but I figured he was just tired from working on so many people. I was leaving and a woman was at the register telling the front desk girl that she had an appointment. They asked her to come back the next day. The girl had already taken off her polish to anticipate the work they would be doing that day. I felt so bad for her.

After a week, my gel manicure started to come off. I couldn't wash my hair without the underside getting stuck in my hair. I was very disappointed with the work that happened this time around and am considering not returning. After waiting almost an hour for mediocre work, it isn't worth it. If a shop is going to make appointments, they should keep people on hand to do appointments and not take in every single walk in. Respect our...

So I decided to write this after I had my nails done once and went back for a refill. I tried all the nail places in Cibolo and just never left feeling satisfied with the job that was done so I ventured to New Braunfels due to the recommendations from a local group. My first appointment was great! Rachel understood exactly what I wanted, she was professional and funny and did an outstanding job. It was so good that 25 days later my nails still look good although they had grown out they weren’t lifting and they didn’t hurt. I’m almost positive I could’ve gone one more week to make it a month without having anything happening to them. I went again yesterday and although Rachel did not do my nails and I didn’t catch the guys name he too did a really good job. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and got exactly that. Also he seem to be a bit of a perfectionist kept looking my nails over again and if he was not satisfied he would keep working on them which I appreciated. The place is very clean and the staff is very friendly and nice. I would just recommend that if you want to get seen that you make a reservation ahead of time but even if you have to wait, to me it’s still worth it for the quality of work you get.
