Went here to set up a I.D card for my grandfather from California. Filled out the application and took a number. I was here on 3/15/18 @ 12:10pm and this DMV center was quiet, very few people in line thought it was going to be a fast process. IT WAS NOT! Three employees working. One employee working with clients with tabs, two others was on the computer doing who knows if it was work related for over 30mins without client contact. One Employee family member came in and gave her food during work hours while other clients was waiting. Worker needs to understand that lunch/work doesn't act at the same time if this worker is drinking McDonald's frappe and eating her McChicken on the job. She was talking and laughing at the front desk for approx. 10-15mins. At 12:45pm I was still in the lobby with my grandfather and other clients. I became frustrated as I wait over an hour with 3 other clients. Approx. 1:23pm our number was called and we went up to the desk. Presented the application and my grandfather current ID. I said, "We're here for a MN ID for my grandfather as he will be living in MN." She looked at my form and clearly didn't know how to give me a simple answer, so she went to ask her co workers and came back said, "we will need two forms of ID (Passport or Birth certifcate) along with the California ID in order to obtain a MN ID." So please go get one these and come back before we close. WHAT THE TRUCK! I waited over an hour to be turned away. God damn these SLIMY SLICKING SON of a MEASLES just wasted my time. I made a call on a Tuesday and was surprised that they had an appt. available to renew my driver's license that same day. From the time I arrived and met all the requirements to get inside the building and go through the renewal process, it took about 15 minutes and I was on my way home. I currently have a broken bone in my back and was given an okay from my doctor to take limited and short driving trips. I sure appreciated the speediness and efficient process of the crew in the license dept. on...

Fast and efficient service. Went in today for the Real ID. Got there at about 10 minutes to 8 and was 3rd in line. Was out of there at 8:15. If you go the on-line route there is no reason for worries. (One of the guys in line with me was returning for the 3rd time.) The online form will spell out exactly what you need to bring and the transaction will go very smoothly. Like I said if you have your paperwork in order the staff is very quick getting you processed.
