I’m a Rutgers grad student & i’ve spent hundreds of dollars in this store & have brought my friends and family here to spend their money as well. I went to the store yesterday and was YELLED AT, KICKED OUT, and NOT ALLOWED TO PAY FOR MY ITEMS because I had my EMOTIONAL SUPPORT dog with me (with his leash displaying he’s a service dog) his vest was covered because he had a Rutgers shirt on (that i happened to purchase at THIS store a few months back) i once loved loved loved this store but the “owner” had no regard that this was a service animal and proceeded to kick me out & raise his voice & say i cannot pay for my items if i have my service dog with me. really really disappointing. Read moreMy wife and I are both Rutgers alumnus, I remember going to this store as a student, my wife and recently visited the store and the management was rude and followed us around the store and did not ask for our help at all. It was a bit odd, my wife and I were a little taken back by it. The staff at the register were obviously students and were kind but the elderly woman who was supervising had poor customer service. I felt she was trying to exercise Jim Crow laws. As someone closer to there 40s I was surprise to see this at a campus that has always been diverse and connected to their students.
