Reviews are all paid or fake because there is no way this place deserves a 4.9 rating. Super deceiving as they sell you half a waffle for the price of a full one. $20 with toppings for HALF A WAFFLE!? Who does that!? Day light robbery I call it. Stay away guys.
Response to the management: First, my review was based on my honest experience, and I find it concerning that instead of addressing my points, youâre accusing me of some sort of "intentional ordeal." Let me be clear: I was genuinely surprised and disappointed by the portion size and pricing. $20 for half a waffle with toppings feels unreasonable, and nowhere was it made explicitly clear that the waffle would be half-sized. If it was mentioned, it clearly wasn't emphasized enough.
In fact, the picture on the TV in your store shows a full, round waffle, which contributed to my expectation. If you serve half a waffle, that should be made much clearer.
Just because I finished the waffle doesnât mean I wasnât dissatisfied. Eating something that I paid for doesn't cancel out my right to express disappointment with the portion size or pricing. I had hoped the experience would be better, and thatâs what reviews are for â to share honest feedback, not to be accused of wrongdoing.
Finally, Iâm not attacking your business or questioning your overall ratingâI'm simply sharing my personal experience, which did not align with the high rating I saw. Itâs not about accusing anyone, itâs about expressing how I felt as a customer. If you truly care about your customers, maybe take this as an opportunity to improve clarity rather than getting defensive.
I stand by my review and hope you change your...
Read moreVisited Sweet Dip with a group of friends and ate our way through most of the menu. The customer service was stellar, and the owners were humble and down to earth people who were happy enough to help us in deciding what to order and gave some amazing recommendations. We tried the chocomamia, lotus biscoff, and pistachio kunafa shakes - all of which were amazing and not too overly sweet (which we definitely appreciated!) We additionally tried all of their waffle sticks, and though I do not have a specific preference, I will say that texturally, they knocked it out of the park. They had a perfectly toasted crunchy exterior, and a soft and chewy interior which didn't get soggy from absorbing any of the Sauces. We tried their strawberry-banana, sushi, lotus biscoff, and pistachio kunafa crepes as well. And although the strawberry banana we were told was the best-seller, my personal favourite was the pistachio kunafa with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side. The crepes were all freshly made in house from scratch, and the fact that box mixes weren't used really did make the world of a difference and greatly added to our experience. The place is small, and serves as mainly a take-out location, so between the two tables and bar seating at the back, our group was able to comfortably fit inside. Though small, the space was clean and well-kept, and the Belgian chocolate fountain definitely added to our vibe! A 10/10 experience, and we will most definitely be back to experience any new menu items Sweet...
Read moreI walked past Sweet Dip on the way to get either boba, chai, or frozen yogurt at one of the other places around the block. I don't know why Sweet Dip didn't show up when I looked up restaurants near me.
I'm glad the neon pink sign and pictures of food led me in because the Dubai pistachio knafeh crepe was an experience.
$15 might seem a little on the pricey side but you get what you pay for: the crepe itself was cooked immediately after I ordered so everything was warm and gooey in the best way possible.
It was as delicious a dessert crepe as you could want but what really set it apart was the crunchy pistachio topping. The extra crunch was an amazing texture to go with the nutty and chocolate flavors.
It was so rich that at the risk of an inferior experience, I'm bringing half of it home with me so I can finish it later.
The location itself is really nice. To make up for the lack of large windows, it's warmly well lit and the lavender decor a little sparse but pretty.
My only disappointment was that they were out of fresh chai, but in their defense, it's a weird time on a weekday so I can see them selling out after lunch.
I can't wait to come back and try more desserts...
