The hostess wasn’t really welcoming or friendly, but I just chalk that up to being a young college kid probably. So I’m not deducting any points for that.
Our server was friendly and attentive. The inside looked a little old, but I think that just went along with the vibe. The outside looked fun, but they weren’t seating out there and it looks like this place is probably pretty hopping on the weekend with kids.
The drinks looked fun, but I didn’t try any.
Now to the food.
The small boli and the medium boli are the same price except with a small one, you can get a soup, or a salad, which I find fair. The only problem is that they only had two soup choices, and neither one of them was a vegetarian option, so I was stuck with a salad when I would’ve preferred a soup. Not a biggie but disappointed.
Now the bolis: They came out, fresh and hot, but the only problem was when they laid them down in the basket, all the cheese was falling out, so everything had to be shoved back in. They shouldn’t lay them down, they should stand them up if that is an issue. I didn’t feel like there was enough flavor or sauce inside. I’m not really a put salt on your food type of person but I just felt like something was lacking here. I should have asked for a little side of sauce because I definitely feel that wasn’t enough. The crust was perfectly cooked. It had a nice crunch as well as a softness to it.
I’m not dogging this place and would definitely suggest for people to try it out but I’m just glad it’s off my list and that I got to experience it at least once.
As far as the vegetarian choices, they are mixed in with all of the other choices, so you really have to go looking through everything to find...
Read more2nd time: Got the potachos. These are amazing. Think if you could combine french fries and potatoes into one crunchy mess of goodness. The potato chips are thicker than regular potato chips and have a greasier texture to them. Then the bacon, cheddar, onions, chives, and tomatoes are covered on top. Oh and don't forget the sour cream which adds a nice smoothness to the flavors. But the best part was the drizzled ketchup on top. Ketchup makes any form of potato better. The combination of sour cream and ketchup goes perfectly together with a bite of potato. Good portion for the potacho. Service was good.
1st time: I guess people go here for the scene... And it's a good meetup place. But...
It was a long wait time for food... I'd already finished my soda long before the food was brought. They did leave us with a pitcher of water, which is good. I ordered nachos, and they served it on a plate on top of a metal plate (to keep the heat?), but the nachos honestly got cold pretty quick. I wish the nachos had more melted cheese; the chips were cooked thoroughly and the cheese was bits of shredded pieces. I did like how they chopped up the jalapenos thoroughly.
It was really a tight squeeze for our group of five, but it was a cool atmosphere. They had a dartboard right...
