Stopped by Nacho BAE for dinner yesterday after hearing rave reviews online, and thankfully, the taste and quality lived up to the hype. It’s a family owned restaurant, that serves a fully halal menu, and almost the entirety of the menu can be swapped out to become fully vegetarian without compromising flavour or satiety. We tried the three tacos, bae bowl, quesadilla, as well as the new “bring your own bag” - which was not only so much fun, but extremely well filled! We also tasted their beef empanadas, jalapeno poppers, chicken nuggets, and fries (we had a toddler with us). The menu was an all around success in my eyes, they definitely do not skimp out on the fillings, meat, or sauces - which in this time of inflation was greatly appreciated. One bowl could easily feed two people. The meat is well cooked and seasoned, and you can taste that the ingredients used are fresh. The highlight of the night for me really was the “bring your own bag,” as well as the elotes style street corn which is a new menu item, but definitely hit the right spots. We ended our meal with the dulce de leche stuffed churros, which had the right ratio of filling to sugar. The place is clean and hygienic on the inside, and has ample seating available, however, many menu items are designed so that they can be ordered for on-the-go orders, making this place perfect for families having a night out, as well as any students on a tight budget and in need of a quick, healthy, and...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Jalapeño Shack, a fantastic Halal Mexican restaurant, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and inviting.

Now, let's talk about the food. I ordered the chicken burrito bowl, and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The combination of flavors from the fresh vegetables, rice, and salsa was simply mouthwatering. I appreciate that the restaurant offers Halal options without compromising on taste or quality.

The service was another highlight of my experience. The staff was incredibly attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu and Halal options. They were more than willing to answer any questions I had and made sure I had everything I needed throughout my meal.

The overall dining experience at Jalapeño Shack was outstanding. The ambiance, the food, and the service all came together to create a memorable and enjoyable time. Whether you're a fan of Mexican cuisine or looking to try something new, I highly recommend this amazing restaurant for a delightful and Halal-friendly meal.

I can't wait to return and try more items from their mouth watering menu. Kudos to the entire team for providing such a fantastic dining experience! Five stars...

Recently, it seems that most new halal restaurants opening up have been uninspired, often having an almost carbon-copy menu of one another. Jalapeno Shack, however, definitely was much needed to shake things up - I’m glad we finally have a reliable halal Mexican restaurant in the area! When you walk into the store, you can tell right away that the owners put a lot of care and effort into making the ambiance cozy and welcoming, aesthetic, and overall just a nice spot to hang out and eat.

In terms of the food quality, I tried the chicken bowl and can definitely attest to how delicious it was! The ingredients are all very fresh and the chicken is cooked well, which are things I’m picky about. Also, the staff are friendly and give generous portion sizes - one bowl can easily be enough two meals if you're not too hungry. In terms of the variety, they have a good amount of menu options and ingredients you can choose to fulfill your specific cravings. If you don’t eat meat, I guarantee that you will still enjoy Jalapeno Shack because of how many options there are.

Another thing I tried were the churros, which satisfied my sweet tooth - they were super fresh, fluffy, and of course, sweet. I’m so excited to keep coming back and trying out new...
