Against The Grain — Local services in New Canaan

We just purchased 2 floor model swivel/glider Adirondack chairs from AGT. I was absolutely blown away by the quality of furniture offered. I had heard about AGT from a CT blogger and ended up driving 90 min each way to check it out. Each chair is almost 80 lbs and is so comfortable! We plan on visiting again in early Spring 2021 to purchase a table and 2 additional chairs. Excellent investment for our outdoor living area and super impressed with Chris!...

I was sold two white Adirondacks from Against The Grain on the basis they were environmentally friendly and I could leave them outside ALL winter. The owner Chris assured me the chairs were made from poly lumber and carefully crafted so they should last forever. They have endured two hot summers, one harsh winter (see image) and recently two tornados. It seems they are built to last and I'm thrilled! I'm definitely getting a table...

The shop is full of high quality outdoor furniture in an array of shapes and sizes. They also have great giftables for any occasion including handmade cutting boards, marble games for kids and beautiful bird feeders. My favorite section is the gourmet foods including truffled ghee, flavored popcorn and hot sauce....YUM! A great shop to pick up a one of a kind piece for your home and a simple gift...
