New Canaan Butcher Shop — Local services in New Canaan

Made my way to New Canaan to join the hype and try the New Canaan Butcher Shop, had heard from multiple friends of how spectacular the food tastes. It did not disappoint, she went with the “Caprese sandwich” while I did a “build your own” with ham, cheese and mayo on the press (feeling plain for the day). I don’t know where they get their cold cuts but holy moly it was so delicious. The meat and cheese are of top quality! The bread was amazing too, it had a crunch to it from the press while the inside was nice and soft. We only got sandwiches for the day but the butcher meat looks top quality as well. Before leaving we had a chance to chat with the guys behind the counter along with Paul the owner, who is so chill and down to earth. Really enjoyed hearing about their stories and their future plans, amongst many the coming soon grill to accommodate breakfast sandwiches like the BEC. This little gem tucked away along the right side of Chase drive thru tellers has become my favorite sandwich shop ANYWHERE! Having been in the food business most of my life, primarily as a deli owner, I KNOW my sandwiches and NC Butcher shop far exceeds my expectations for top of the line sandwiches and prime cut meats. I highly recommend the NY Pasratrami Rueben, which is traditionally made on rye bread but is even better on grilled ciabatta!! Hands down the most incredible sandwiches and meat in CT! We get sandwiches from here all the time. They are always fresh, tasty, creative, and total perfection. The Philly is our favorite, with the Paris coming in afterwords. But all of the sandwiches we have tried have been amazing. Service is so friendly!
