The property manager is rude, unaccountable, mean-spirited, unprofessional and gives unreliable information and promises (lies) intentionally about fixing issues they are ACCOUNTABLE to repair on the property and some of those issues put the residents safety at-risk because entry doors to some of the apartment buildings don't lock and has been that way for FAR too long!!!!!
This problem makes it possible for anyone at any time to gain entry to the buildings because the building entry doors don't work/lock properly as they should at all times!
When I (continuously) follow up (because they don't seem to know what follow up is) about this safety issue they lie with either: 1) they are waiting on a bid from a contractor; or 2) a contractor has to be hired to do the repair. Then they have the audacity to send a maintenance man to repair the issue (that they said a contractor has to properly repair!!) As such the maintenance team TEMPORARY REPAIR works for maybe 3 days or so days (at most) before it stops working and the door is broken again. It's clear only a contract will properly do the repair correctly so the door operate as it should (lock properly when is is entered or exited). This has been going on for at least 8 months or probably longer with the repair not properly DONE!
One of the front office workers is a liar, rude, very unprofessional, confrontational and lacks ANY customer service skills. The ONLY time I have witnessed her having a friendly and professional demeanor is when (in passing them) I witness her taking perspective renters on a tour of the property.
There IS a roach and mice issue on this property which is not handled as promptly and professionally as it should and seem to not be given the top priority that it should be by the rental office. This forces the resident to get PRO-ACTIVE and take measures and their own money, time and effort in getting rid of the mice and roaches in their own apartments so they won't have to be disappointed or annoyed in having to wait TOO long for the exterminators hired by the rental office to address the issue PROMPTLY.
YES, the pros are: 1) the property is within walking distance of the Metro and, 2) the rent is reasonable (even though it increases every year). And is reason why I stay and will continue until I AM READY and chose to go.
However, there is always going to be my expectation (and rightfully so) that when I am responsible enough to pay my rent on time (sometime before) and respect the upkeep of their property (my apartment), and be a good renter, MY EXPECTATION IS THEY SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE TO UPHOLD WHAT THEY SHOULD AS PROPERTY MANAGERS/STAFF.
PS. Please don't expect me to reply to your reply of calling the rental office about the contents of my review, just commit to paying the money (that is required) to hire the contractor (you keep promising to do) to professionally repair the building's entry door properly so it won't keep breaking down and lock properly upon entering and exiting the building ALL THE TIMES so that my safety is not...

They have a decent maintenance team that delivers throughout the week but weekends can problematic. I also like their maintenance program where they do twice per year maintenance checks on every apartment; change filters, check for leaks etc.
