Bought a sofa from Haney’s about 13 years ago and it only lasted us about 2 years before the legs started breaking. Fast forward to 2022: purchased a dual reclining loveseat that broke in less than a month. Called the store and was told a repairman would be sent out “whenever he finally gets the e-mail. It could take awhile.” Meanwhile, we rented a chair from RAC. About 2-3 weeks later, I had to call the store again to see what the hold up was. Was told the repairman would be out within the week, which he was. The break was deemed irreparable. I assumed the store would call me with resolution but, no…I had to call (about a week after the diagnosis). “Oh, yeah. You can come in and pick out a replacement.” I did not want a replacement, I wanted to take my business elsewhere. No, that’s not allowed however, if we found something that cost less, we could be refunded the difference. I reluctantly agreed. Found a recliner and thought I would be refunded the difference of $200+…no, they give you store credit! I stated no one told me that in the beginning and no one is holding my money hostage. After exchanging words with store personnel (I do realize they do not set the rules however, they were rude). I managed to catch the owner before he left the parking lot and told him I wasn’t having any of this nonsense and I wanted refunded. He did end up agreeing to refund me the difference. Guess what? Forty five days later, the new recliner is broken! We’re outside of the 30 day warranty so I’m sure they’re going to put up a fight about repairing/replacing. I’ve heard bad things about Haney’s before and my own previous experience should’ve prevented me from making another purchase but, I was trying to support local business. ...
Read moreOur family were in need of a new couch and recliner for our living room. The Haney's name has been known in my family for years and I thought we would check it out for ourselves. From the moment we walked in I met Gary and he was wonderful and extremely helpful. The whole family was there and we have 5 children. The kids were running around and my wife and I were nervous and tried to calm them down but Gary assured us they were ok and they need to test out the furniture. It was a wonderful experience from Gary to the ladies at the front desk to even the delivery which was the very next morning. These wonderful deliver people had to bring the furniture in through our front window because it wouldn't fit through the door. I know there is not anywhere else that would bend of backwards to get the furniture in the house. We highly recommend this wonderful, local business. You will not be disappointed. We went to Big Lots first and that was a mistake. Save yourself time and money. Good family owned business you can't beat it. To top it all off, I had Richard the owner called to ensure we were well taken care of and follow up with us. I can go on and on. A wonderful place. I only wish we would've went sooner! We will be lifelong friends...
Read moreGary is very helpful and friendly, not pushy. Labor Day sale right now just about everything appears 1/2 off, there’s a lot of great low prices. I saw couches for $500-600. The mattresses on display are $400-500. I saw a king size for $397 mattress only. Even the end tables, lamps, paintings, beautiful display pieces were affordable prices like $100, $150 or a little more. We applied for the loan financing but I didn’t know they offered layaway! So now I’m excited that’s an option. Gary said up to 6 months you can pay layaway, he’s willing to work with people. The rules are it’s mostly 90 days but he will stretch it further and has done so for other customers. The sectional couch I want is $1200 1/2 off, that is literally the price of used couches on Facebook marketplace. A lot of the prices match what used furniture cost in other locations or on Facebook marketplace like I said, except these are brand new. I can’t answer for the durability quality yet (and I wanted to take more pictures but my phone died) but everything looked great, wonderful service, etc. the woman at the counter answered my questions explaining to me how...
