I recently visited Wax N Scent Studio with my sister to celebrate her birthday by taking a candle-making class, and we had such a fantastic time! From the moment we walked in, everyone was incredibly welcoming. We had the pleasure of working directly with the owner, who was absolutely amazing. She guided us through the entire process with such enthusiasm and made it an absolute blast.

One of the highlights for me was when she allowed me to upgrade to a larger candle, which was something I really wanted. Of course, there was a small cost difference, but it was worth every penny to create a custom candle that was exactly what I envisioned. The decorating part was just as fun—we got to pick out dried flowers, glitter, and even stones with personal meanings, which made our candles even more special.

The absolute best part? We got to take our candles home the same day! I also opted for the wood wick upgrade because, why not? It’s honestly the most amazing candle I’ve ever had. I lit it for the first time today and, while I’m sad that it will eventually be gone, it’s comforting to know that I can always go back and make more. Plus, they offer candle refills, which is such a great touch!

A fun bonus was the option to have balloons for the birthday celebration—they even blew them up for us, which was such a nice touch. As a vegan, I was thrilled that we could bring our own snacks and wine, making the experience even more personal and enjoyable. My sister had a wonderful birthday, and we both absolutely loved the class.

Our candle making jaunt to Wax N Scent was completely unplanned, spur of the moment and 100% my husband's idea. He deserves credit for this especially because we had the best time.

The owners are friendly, the studio was pretty and the space smelled divine! My 9 year old son decided to make a humungous chocolate layered cake with vanilla scent and I build a mason jar candle with black jasmine custom scent. We came up with a design & look and the whole process was very therapeutic. My favorite part of the candle making process was breaking the slabs of wax into pieces to fill up the container. It took a lot longer to fill up my son's candle container, because it was so big! I was given an option of decorating the tops of my mason jar candle with real flowers and I decided to go with dainty little rose buds.

Once our project was completed, we were asked to come back in an hour to pick up the candles. We received a text with pick up instructions and et voila! we deemed ourselves as fantastic candle makers! The end result was beautiful and we were super thrilled about how our candles turned out!

It has been over a year and we are still burning the candles at our home. My son cannot wait to get back here to build a new one! Highly recommend this activity. No special skills needed and it is perfect for humans...

Both of them will walk you through the whole process of candle making, they are full of knowledge about their work. And you will get full attention. Great vibe, atmosphere in the store is nice and comfortable. Enough space to walk around and sit.
