This is one of the strangest Italian restaurants I have ever seen. When we first came in they seated us in a really cramped area and gave us only two menus when there were four of us seated. We had no utensils and there was no water offered. We ordered drinks and I asked for Sprite and was told they are out of Sprite. The server told me repeatedly to drink Pelligrino instead though I dont like that and didnt want to pay for it. I kept asking for another soft drink alternative but he was not listening to me. Eventually he told me they had Root beer but it was like bleeding blood from a stone to get him to serve me something other than the Pelligrino water that was already at the table. The place is really small so my family asked to be seated in the corner so we could have more room. They wouldn't allow us because they said a party of 14 was coming soon. That party never came and they seated another family where we originally wanted to go without offering us a chance to go there. Then I asked for the cavatelli on the menu only to be thwarted by the server immediately telling me boldy that they don't have that. I went with the Gnochi she said they just made that day. The food came out and it was terribly cold for something that was "Just Made." I wanted a bolognese sauce and they don't have that available as well so I went with the house sauce which my family and I unfortunately believe to have been forged out of a Prego can from the local supermarket. As we were about to leave for the evening we were calculating the tip from the check. The server stood over us watching us put the money together staring ominously. My wife said can I help you to break the awkward tension of the situation. And she asked what we were doing. We explained that we are doing the match for the bill and needed a moment. She brazenly replied "that's ok I can help you figure it out." It was incredibly awkward to have a server stand over you as you are figuring out how much to tip her. This is the first time I have ever see a server do this. We quickly paid the bill at that point as we saw the server had no intention to provide us any privacy as we were pooling the money to pay the bill. Please save yourself time and money as this place is not worth any amount of money for the food they offer. There are plenty of other amazing places to eat as you are in the area. I truly regret not reading the other reviews before...
Read moreWe were attracted to the place because of the outdoor seating area and one-man band that was playing. But the whole experience was similar to what we've read here.
The service: Really bad. After our pizza was brought, we had to ask for plates. They turned out be the thin/cheap paper plates. We had to retrieve extra napkins from a table nearby. They gave us the wrong bill. When we did get our actual bill, one of the prices didn't match the price in the menu. They corrected it but said they have other menus with that price too. I think our server even brought it over to show us. We paid and left but looking at the receipt, somehow 30.75 in food came to 34.61 with tax. Basically the place is confusing and not professional. More of a back-yard Bbq feeling. We went somewhere else for dessert.
The food: The pizza we ordered was okay. I thought it was good, not giant for a large pizza but it was tasty. The linguini and mussels dish was very plain. The sauce was very soupy and there wasn't much pasta in it. I was still really hungry after eating it. Quite a few of the mussels were broken shelled, meaning that they were crushed/dead before being cooked. They are really supposed to be discarded before being cooked so that you don't get sick. They didn't bring any bread to the table.
I might go for a pizza but you may be shocked by the service and disappointed...
Read moreWe had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. Every pasta dish—whether it was mac and cheese, chicken parm, or another chicken plate—used the same bowtie pasta, with random spaghetti mixed in. It felt sloppy and uninspired.
One in our party has dairy and egg allergies, and despite trying to communicate this clearly, the staff couldn’t understand what we were asking. The man serving us was especially rude and kept insisting on gluten-free pizza, which was irrelevant to our concerns. When we asked about ingredients in the bread and other items, the answer was simply, “We don’t know, it’s store-bought.” That’s unacceptable when someone is trying to avoid allergens.
The food itself didn’t help—mac and cheese came on a small dessert plate, just a sad half-serving of bowtie pasta with an unappetizing sauce scooped on top.
Between the lackluster food, the rude service, the lack of soap in the bathrooms, the absurd request to leave a sleeping baby in a stroller outside (despite the restaurant being empty) and the complete inability to handle basic dietary questions, we won’t be coming back. Would not recommend, especially if you have any dietary...
