Went last night. Such a terrible experience. First of all, service is very slow. With two people behind the counter and one person ordering ice cream I still had to wait a few minutes to be helped - the other employee was just pacing back and forth behind the counter not doing anything. Finally, when I was helped, you’re not allowed to sample anything “we don’t do that”. It’s almost as if the employee was annoyed that question was even asked due to her tone (like I was supposed to know). I’ve never been to an ice cream place that doesn’t allow this. The other thing is that this place is a dump. Floor is coming apart, ceiling is in need of repair, as well as wobbly and dirty tables. It’s like no one in there cleans. Their bathroom doesn’t even lock properly so you have to hold the door closed while you’re in there so people don’t walk in. Normally, if the place has some sort of redeeming quality, ie, delicious ice cream, then some or all of these could be overlooked, but in their case, the ice cream is just about average and nothing you can’t find somewhere else. I recommend going to Owowcow - much better ice cream, customer service, and cleanliness all around. I’m not normally one to make any review, let alone a bad review, but save yourself the trip on overpriced ice cream and...

We visited this ice cream shop because our favorite ice cream shop across the bridge in lambertville was closed due to flooding. We should have waited until it reopened because this place was a huge disappointment! Where do I begin... I guess I should start with the good and the only reason why this place deserves one star is because the portion size was mediocre and I believe they may use high quality cream. Now the negative, they do not allow samples using the excuse of covid despite other local creameries allowing you to do so. Note there was no mandate for mask wearing for the employees nor the customers. They do not permit two flavors in a small which you do find at many other ice cream shops offer. For the pricing they should offer two flavors in a small as pricing is competitive. I got the lavender coconut and it was flavorless and just tasted like heavy cream. My husband got cookies and cream and again it was very mild in flavor. What was horrific about his ice cream is it didn't just come with cookies but a long strand of hair! Obviously it was replaced by the ice cream server when brought to her attention but we weren't given any other option. Needless to say we will never return here and we definitely...

I would give zero stars if I could. Went yesterday afternoon for the first time this season. Past experiences weren’t great but this was the icing on the cake for me. Older women (possibly the owner) was serving us. I asked her for a sample and she said “we don’t do that”. Well why not? You want me to spend $10 on the tiniest portion of ice cream so shouldn’t I like what I am choosing? I couldn’t decide between two for my second scoop. Bad customer service. One of the flavors I chose was chocolate sea salt caramel but I could not taste the caramel and there was nothing salty either just pure chocolate. It also was icy like a little freezer burn. I could have bought Turkey Hill from ShopRite and tasted better than this. Zero flavor. Also the place is old and run down and dirty. My basement might be nicer than this place. For the money she is charging she needs to renovate. So not only was this woman rude to me but her ice cream is tasteless and expensive and served in filth. Tourist trap for sure. Save your money and go home and eat your Turkey Hill. I promise it will...

After a great dinner (but so great dessert) at Martine's, we decided to hustle to Moo Hope before they closed. This seems to be THE ice cream place in New Hope and they had a variety of interesting and classic flavors. The standout for me was the house-made waffle cones. They were clearly fresh and even a little but warm. They don't have the crisp that a typical waffle cone does, which I like. It was almost more of a cookie than a crispy cone. We got one scoop of cookie dough in a waffle cone with rainbow sprinkles (my favorite). this was a great call because we were able to eat the ice cream out of the cone as if it was a bowl. I would recommend this as a way to split a flavor or two. They also had a few other options (roasted nuts) for snacks. The cowhide seat covers on the chairs at the tables was a nice touch. If you only have time to get dessert at one place in New Hope, stop by this place. It was definitely a place I would return to.

Really delicious ice cream with a great variety of menu items. My daughter ordered a Shirley Temple float that was amazing, and my other daughter had a single scoop with gummy bears. One small downside is that they only offer waffle cones—no sugar or cake cones—so she ended up with her ice cream in a cup, which isn’t her usual preference. I tried the chocolate-dipped waffle cone with Coffee Oreo and Salted Caramel, and both flavors were outstanding. Scoop sizes are huge. We stopped by around lunchtime and it wasn’t crowded, so service was quick and friendly. Some reviews mention service issues, but we didn’t experience that at all. There’s also a lovely outdoor seating area in the back with views of the Delaware River, which made it even more enjoyable. Overall, a great experience and definitely worth a visit.

This was our 2nd time visiting New Hope and Moo Hope Ice Cream was closed during our 1st visit. We were impresssd by their adorable logo, so I was excited that they were open this time. The decor is humble and wide-spaced with plenty of indoor & outdoor seating. It's easy to get a table even though it's crowded. There was a great variety of flavors available and some were really unique. We had a scoop of their daily special Maple Bacon and it was pretty good, creamy with strong taste of maple. However, if they can have 2 flavors in 1 scoop as other stores do, it would be perfect for us.
