Le Monde Creole / Insider's French Quarter — Local services in New Orleans

I've read that Bill is a great tour guide, but our tour guide was Michelle and she was fantastic! She was sweet and charming and extremely knowledgeable and passionate about New Orleans and Creole culture. She shared so much information with us and all in a very well paced and easily absorbed format. The visits to various courtyards and other locations in the French Quarter were unforgettable. Michelle included fascinating architectural information in her narration and the visit to the Cemetery was very interesting. Additionally, we learned the history of the Laura Locoul family which tied in very nicely with our tour the next day of Laura Plantation. I highly recommend this tour and I'm so glad we were with Michelle. She was so very, very wonderful. I can't say enough...

Although I tend to avoid doing "the tourist thing," I am SO thankful I set aside one morning for this awesome tour. Bill, our knowledgable, organized, and highly personable guide, made this experience one of my best in New Orleans. There must've been a time warp--I don't even know how he packed so much into just over two hours' time!

I did the Treme tour and it was very average. I don’t see why the reviews in guide books are so popular, maybe because they do it in French. To get the most out of the tour you need to ask questions and the visit to the video priestess at the end is pretty pointless as she doesn’t answer your questions.

If you can’t be bothered to do the research yourself I guess then it’s fine (if you can afford 40$ per person). If I had to do it again I would do a self guided tour + use my phone /ai image search to get more information on what...
