The guy at the counter is so rude, there was no proper way to place the order and I have been waiting for more than 10 minutes for someone to take the order, when I asked him to take orders he is so rude and he didn’t even ask me to wait to take the order. he said, “CAN'T YOU SEE I AM MAKING SOMEONE's ORDER” after a couple of minutes while talking about the order he smiled (fake) at me and asked me how can I help him. 1. This place is overrated 2. we have ordered pistachio this doesn’t taste like gelato or ice cream (confused 🤔) 3. Nothing has a price on it, especially the desserts. we have ordered s’mores it's $12.he didn’t mention it comes with whipped cream on top. I have tasted nothing except whipped cream. 4. I don’t understand WHAT IS SEASONAL? Put some effort into naming something..just labeling SEASONAL doesn’t make any sense. 5. We ordered SEASONAL LAYER BAR(With nuts) but I didn’t taste anything except white chocolate. 6. This is not what we expected, we have been to many pastry places around the world this is not what we expected. we been to this street only to visit this store within 22 minute's walk from Canal where we parked our car.

Visiting the area, I was looking for something sweet on a Sunday afternoon. We located this place by doing a Google search. I tried the cupcakes, and that was a great choice. Everything was beautiful, the decor, and the deserts. My reason for writing this review has everything to do with my experience. My concern is with the customer service. Specifically the attitude of the employee, brunette with the glasses that waited on me and my friends. Not only did she make us feel unwelcome, or bothered as we asked questions, she was rude, dry, condescending and ultimately not a reflection of all the hard work that I see has been put into your business. Here is what I know, all people should be treated equally. It is a disservice to your brand to have people working for you that do not reflect who you are, the demographics that you serve, and the values that you stand on.

Suggestions: Everything really was outstanding and we didn’t have a particular “favorite”, however the macaroons were THE BEST I have ever eaten Pros: Gillato was epic, truffles were really good and unique, had a lot of flavor options for both the macaroons and the truffles, attention to detail Cons: Parking, the pastry they used for the eclair was just good

Thoughts: So my wife is definitely more of the desert person that me but this place is like a magical factory of the most delicious and creative deserts imaginable. Just as an example, they make something they call the “Ice Cream Po’ Boy”, it three scoops of ice cream sandwiched between two eclair pastries, and drizzled with chocolate and caramel sauce.

Everything at this place was absolutely amazing, with one minor exception; the eclair pastry was just good. Honestly I don't think it would have stood out as much except that everything else was of such high quality. Ice cream, amazing; chocolate, smooth and delicious; pastries and cakes, practically perfect. As yet another example of their outstanding quality; I don't really like macaroons, they are often dry and too firm. These were unbelievably good, I didn't know a macaroon could taste this good. The "cookie" was firm but with a moist, slightly chewy consistency; and the filling was so mouthwatering. To top all of that off the flavors were very unique and each that I tried was wonderful.

I will say that the location on magazine street is definitely better than the one in the French quarter. Parking is better, they have outside seating, and the overall atmosphere is just a little less hectic and crazy.

Sucrè is one of the highlights of my culinary experiences in NOLA and I desperately wish I was able to come back. If you live in NOLA, or if you're driving through NOLA you...

Such a shame of how my day here went. I did not mention this when I was there, but we were there for my husband's birthday. We were just getting a little entremet for him and a cupcake for me since it's just two of us to warrant a whole cake. The entremet was great, the cupcake was great, we were happily enjoying our time there, until I saw a white hair in my cupcake spoon. It was not thick to say it may have been a sponge strand, but it was also not long to mean it was a long hair white hair, it was short and a little bit curly. My husband laughed at me and said that's what I get for ordering a cupcake. I brought it up to the girl at the counter and she promptly apologized and asked if I wanted something else. I didn't want to ruin my husband's birthday by saying we are leaving, so I got an entremet so he wouldn't laugh at my cupcake choice. He took a bit off my new entremet and offered a bite off his, I took a little spoon slice to leave him most of it and guess what I found on my spoon... yes, another white hair. Short, just like the cupcake one. My guess at the time was it was a short haircut white hair, a beard hair, or a long hair white cat/dog. The girl at the counter apologized and promptly refunded both deserts and promised to talk to her manager to resolved the hair situation. Fast forward to later that night, we were walking back to the hotel and just happened to pass through Sucre... and the new counter attendant just happened to be a guy, with you guessed it, a very well groomed long white beard and white hair cut. I think we found our culprit. I hope this store figures out a way to prevent these incidents. May I suggest a beard net, hair net, and/or hat? As for me, I will always remember this place as "Two Hair Bakery". Only reason for the two stars is for the...

Nice and clean place. Food is good enough to cure a sweet tooth. However, we did not enjoy our visit today. We walked in and started looking at what we wanted. One of the employees greeted us and said she'd be right with us since she was making specialty drinks. Another duo walks in behind us and the second employee immediately starts servicing them and halfway through their service asks if we've been helped. We said the other employee said she'd be with us in a minute so if she could help us, that would be great. She said she couldn't because she's helping the other duo...so why ask in the first place. We started giving the second employee our order when she was ready for us. Every time we had another item, she seemed almost annoyed when asking if there was anything else we wanted. By this time another duo had walked in. When she rang us up, she didn't speak at all but took an interest in the next duo that came in. She didn't thank us for coming in, tell us to have a nice day, ask if we wanted a receipt, or even look at us when giving us our items. She was walking away and talking to the next duo the first employee was already helping before we even walked away. Just left a really bad taste in our mouth and...we can put two and two together because the other customers didn't look like us if you know what I mean. So, we'll stick to Haydel's right down the street who we've never had any issue with and who has a wider range of items to...
