My birthday shopping trip was completely ruined by the appalling treatment my group received at this boutique. I was with my mom, her friend myself and a friend, all dressed up in sundresses for the occasion, and from the moment we walked in, we were subjected to constant, uncomfortable scrutiny. We felt followed and watched, which made us incredibly uneasy.

After trying on some clothes, an employee asked me about an extra hanger that was left in the dressing room in accusatory tone. The employee then engaged my mother in seemingly friendly conversation. Unbeknownst to us, she was actually stalling, waiting for security to arrive. As we were leaving, the employee brazenly questioned us about the contents of our shopping bags, implying we had stolen something. I immediately pulled out the shirt I had purchased, sensing her suspicion.

Just as we stepped out, a security guard entered the store. When my mother learned what had happened, she returned inside to clarify the situation, emphasizing that we hadn't stolen anything and were happy for her to check our bags. The employee's response was shocking and deeply insulting: "It's Magazine Street, so you never know."

This experience was a complete buzzkill for what should have been a joyful birthday outing. To be accused of theft, followed, and then spoken to with such a rude and prejudiced remark is utterly unacceptable. We left feeling disappointed. I would never recommend this...
