EDIT: Verizon responded to my review saying they're sorry for the bad experience and they'd like to come to a resolution. They gave information on how to contact them and I did. I have not heard back from them.
If you're thinking about going with Verizon, don't. I've dealt with some bad companies, but Verizon has been a nightmare. Check out Verizon Wireless at the BBB and you'll see they have had almost 24,000 customer complaints filed on them in the last 3 years. Almost 9,000 in the last year, which means they're getting worse and truly earning their 1 star rating from their customers. You just don't get that many complaints unless you're ripping people off. I was with Verizon for 3.5 days before I dumped them and switched to T-Mobile. Texting never worked correctly and our data was extremely slow. Spent 3.5 days trying to speak with customer service at Verizon, to get it fixed, and did nothing but sit on hold until I gave up. The part that is really infuriating (the entire experience was infuriating actually) was I used their call back service, where a rep is supposed to call you back when they are available. I selected this option, they called and I was immediately put back on hold without speaking to anyone. I sat on hold for a while, then gave up. They did this to me twice. Then I get my bill estimate of $460 dollars for the first month. Should have been $60 activation fee +$140 monthly charge + tax. Dumped them the next morning. Fast forward a few weeks and I get a bill for $107.40 for 3.5 days. Still can't get through to "customer service", so I filed a complaint with the BBB asking for a bill adjustment as my phones never did work correctly. Verizon could not care less about the poor customer service and the fact my phones didn't work. They said tough luck, pay our bill 100%. Don't like it? Go to arbitration. They never did address the complaint that my phones never worked correctly. Every response just stated the bill was correct over and over.
That's the...
Read moreIn an era when sacrificing your lunch break to receive even mediocre service through an 800 number following a 40 minute hold time, this AFTER having driven to, waited, and eventually connected with a real person in a local store the night before who just ended up providing the same 800 number you’ve already tried and were unable to connect with due to their insanely limited hours - but with the bonus of an alternately incredulous then dismissive attitude - would be considered a win, Verizon cooperate should be counting their lucky stars for employees like Jeff, Kyle, Samantha and Allan. In my opinion, these people deserve thanks, recognition, bonuses, and probably a raise from Verizon.
Despite the fact that transferring our cell service from Sprint to Verizon has been a daunting task with roadblocks along the way, I am still making time to leave a 5 star review due solely to the impeccable service I have received from the aforementioned people at this store. In this review, it would not be possible to adequately convey the level of character and professionalism I have seen them all consistently demonstrate; suffice it to say that they provide the textbook definition of grade A customer service. I can see that the positive, respectful tone is set by the store’s manager, Jeff, who was unfailing respectful and kind to both customers and employees throughout the barrage of issues he dealt with while also assisting me throughout my 2 hour, peak business hours visit.
If you appreciate personalized, focused, informed customer service, this is the store to visit. Does it cost a little more than T-Mobile? Yes. Is it worth it?...
Read moreI bought a 900$phone less than 30 days ago. I bought the 50$ shield ZAGG. It broke and I went to this store to get help. They would not return it or help me except a lady did register my product for me that worked at that store and on my phone and said " there just put in credit card for postage and it will come". Waited a week. It is the 19$ one that is plastic. She registered the wrong product. by now my phone is having a real problem awaiting a shield and crumbling glass all over . I drove to verizon and the manager Steve and Aaron (sales guy from selling me the phone) both could not help me, the lady that registered the incorrect product avoided me and she was next, as Aaron told me, to help me. I was told to go home, call Zagg or pay for another shipping that btw was more money than the first one cause it is glass and heavier. ALWAYS go to best buy everyone. They care for ya! STill emailing and trying to fix this stupid mistake. BTW Zagg is 25$ on AMAzon. Probably my best bet right now to cut the losses!! I told AAron I was posting a negative review and he said...
