Very good wood fired pizza place. My party of 6 stopped by here for dinner while on vacation.
Good stuff. The pizzas were cooked fine not burned like many wood fire places produce. The crust was good and the tomato sauce a little sweet.🍕
Their "yard sticks" homemade mozzarella sticks were very good much better than the standard frozen fried variety.
They make chips in house and they are life changing. Loaded with bacon and cheese served with ranch or served plain with onion dip. I have never had a restaurant made potato chip that was thin like a Lays chip. Worth the trip just for the chips!!!😍
Let downs... The service was a little slow. 🐌Seemed to be only one waitress for the long narrow dining room. Tea tasted like it was instant or from a pop machine I would stick to pop if you can that was fine.
Most of the seating was hard metal chairs that resulted in numb bums after 10 or so minutes.
The appetisers came out fairly fast but the pizzas, we had 3 full size and 2 child size, took longer than I would have liked to come out. I expect they had one or two people making all the pizzas. I would say this place is better for smaller parties.
The decor and furnishings were visually appealing you could watch them making the pizza if you wanted but the bathrooms didn't get any of the renovation budget. Would be nice to see them updated to match the quality of the rest of the place.
Great food I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the mood for thin crust pizza and want some next level...
Read moreThis is a 100% honest and unbiased review. I have no reason to lie about anything in this review. The cooks do not use gloves or even wash their hands on a regular basis. The kitchen is HIGHLY unsanitary, often leaving raw food items, like chicken, next to cooked food items, like the skillet sundaes, onion straws, etc. When BOH cleans behind the grill and fryers, they will sweep up mounds of ants and other insects. Yet, I had never seen the health department come in and inspect the building throughout my 5 months of work here. Every other restaurant I’ve worked at has had monthly inspections. The Servers are incredibly rude to BOH and often stand in the middle of the walkway, in a group, talking and looking at their phones while everyone else works hard. The owners come in often, but do little to help the team other than “experimenting with new ideas”, which they could do at home, and hovering around the employees in BOH being as critical as possible. There is absolutely no respect in the kitchen. If you choose to work at Brickyard, be prepared to never hear the phrase “Good Job” or “Nice work today” throughout your time working here. You will only be chastised when you make a mistake or fend for yourself. In conclusion, the food is okay, but due to the poor sanitary conditions and abysmal treatment of workers, I would highly suggest staying away...
Read moreStopped in for dinner tonight with our 3 children. Ordered appetizer and 5 meals. Got the appetizer then waited a long time before we got our salads. We then waited another 40 minutes before the server came to us and said he had forgot to put in our meals and they were on a rush. We were understanding. Another 40 minutes and no food. The manager was standing right in front of us and would not acknowledge us or even speak to us. We then after a little while asked for the food to go. The waiter said he’d have the kitchen box it up and we would be getting a discount. After another 20 minutes we finally got good in a bag to go. No discount just an almost 90$ bill and a coupon for a free $6 appetizer. After looking through the bags we were missing food. We wanted the menagerie at this point and he was no where to be found. Needless to say we left after being there for 2 hours still hungry, cold food and out 90$. I understand servers make mistakes and are human but the way this was all handled with the manager was absolutely disgusting and there for we will not be back. It’s a shame because we liked this place before and were excited for our kids to...
