125th Street is situated in the Upper West Side of Mannhatan, the station is served by the 1 train at all times, 125th Street on the 1 train is THE HIGHEST STATION in the New York City Subway!! It's a subway station that's not subway :-). Quite high actually and the staircase is steep. Looks recently renovated by New York standards and nice view over 125th St and the new Columbia campus. On the west side of the station there is only an escalator that is only wide enough for one person, which is exasperating for me because I hate standing on them and doing nothing and...

Beautiful Station, but it's VERY high up, as there's escalators to get to the mezzanine...but you have a great view of 125th Street, and Broadway. Train frequency is adequate. Not ADA compliant but it's understandable as it would be...
