As a worried mom for a starting high school freshman, I feel comfortable sending my daughter on this Q train that leaves her a block away from school. Homeless people are everywhere, despite the train station being in one of the safest neighborhoods in New York City. THE UPPER EAST SIDE!!!! Usually I transfer here from the M101 bus at 96st and lexington and walk the two blocks to 2nd avenue.
