It took us several months to compose this review because we had to prioritize our dog’s recovery during an incredibly challenging period. However, it is essential to share our experience, especially in light of the concerning low-star reviews we’ve recently encountered.
We booked an appointment for our beloved dog in October 2024 with Ark due to a troubling scratch on his eye and to update his vaccinations. While the examination and treatment for his eye were handled adequately, we experienced a significant and alarming decline in his health shortly after he received his vaccination shots. This deterioration escalated to the point where we had to rush him to the emergency room, where the ER veterinarian diagnosed him with pneumonia.
At the emergency clinic, our ER doctor prescribed medication, and we tried to follow up with the vet from Ark. To our dismay, we discovered she had left the clinic, and we were assigned to Dr. Max. Unfortunately, this led to ongoing scheduling issues and last-minute cancellation calls that severely damaged our trust in their ability to provide competent care.
During this ordeal, we met Dr. Max, who initially appeared caring and attentive. However, when he insisted on administering a booster vaccine shot, we began to ask critical questions about our dog's treatment and associated costs. His demeanor changed abruptly; he became combative and defensive, adding to our anxiety during an already stressful situation. Despite his promise to send our dog’s chest x-ray to a radiologist for further evaluation, following up for results was nearly impossible, leading us to doubt if we should continue seeking care there.
Ultimately, frustrated and deeply concerned for our dog's well-being, we sought a second opinion at another veterinary clinic. To our dismay, this new veterinarian revealed that our dog was still unwell, diagnosing him with a mild case of collapsing trachea and ongoing pneumonia. This news was devastating. Thankfully, this new vet was not only compassionate but also committed to providing care without exorbitant costs. Our dog is now on the path to recovery under their attentive supervision.
In January, Dr. Max reached out to provide an update on our dog’s condition, claiming everything looked fine and wanting to schedule a follow-up for a booster shot. He even asked for a positive review of his business. This phone call left a bitter taste in my mouth.
Given this experience and in light of the negative reviews we've seen, we strongly urge anyone considering this veterinary practice to think twice before trusting them with their pets. Our experience clearly indicates that the staff may lack the professionalism necessary to prioritize animal health, instead focusing on creating repeat business. You have...
Read moreI am writing this review to share the unparalleled experience that my furry friend, Bentley, and I have had with this incredible veterinary practice. As a pet owner, it's essential for me to find a veterinarian who not only offers excellent service but also understands and genuinely cares for animals. This clinic surpassed all my expectations in these regards and has continually shown why they are the best in the business.
From our very first visit, the team showed an immediate understanding and affection for Bentley. They handle him with such a delicate and reassuring touch, it's evident they have a natural knack for connecting with animals. Bentley, who's usually anxious during vet visits, was immediately at ease with them, which spoke volumes to me about their skills and proficiency in animal handling.
The level of care provided by this clinic is unparalleled. They've always gone the extra mile to ensure Bentley receives the utmost attention, whether it's a routine check-up or an unexpected illness. Their professional and knowledgeable team always takes the time to thoroughly explain any diagnosis or treatment, making sure I understand every step of Bentley's care. I've never had the impression of being rushed, and they have always been available to answer any questions or concerns I may have.
The clinic's rates are another aspect that has thoroughly impressed me. Even though their service and care are top-notch, their prices remain incredibly reasonable. They've always been upfront about costs, and I've never had to worry about hidden fees or unnecessary treatments. I have no doubt that their primary concern is the health and well-being of their patients, not the bottom line.
Lastly, their overall facility is welcoming and clean, with a warm atmosphere that Bentley and I appreciate. The reception staff are always friendly and professional, making booking appointments a breeze. Their open communication and the comfort of Bentley in the office shows that this is a clinic that truly cares about its patients and their owners.
To conclude, I could not recommend this veterinary clinic more highly. Their exceptional care, reasonable prices, and fantastic animal handling skills make them an unbeatable choice for any pet owner. They've turned Bentley's dreaded vet visits into positive experiences, and for that, we are forever grateful. I know Bentley is in the safest and most caring hands at this clinic, and...
Read moreOn Monday, September 23, 2024, I took my cat. Parking was hard to fine, but I called to let them know I was searching for parking. The receptionist was very pleasant. When I arrived, I signed in. The place was big, very clean, and no funky pet smells. It had two elevated screen tvs, good seating, and a delightful gold fish tank. (Good thing cats are in carrying cases😉.) About 10 minutes later, the receptionist told me I had made my appointment for Tuesday, 9/24. (You have to book appointments on-line.) When I checked my email, sure enough I made the error. The receptionist said she'd ask the vet if we could be seen. She came back and said yes, but it would be a wait. No problem. I guess I waited 30-45 minutes. Before your pet is seen, if you're a first time visitor, someone comes out and does an in-take. You're asked what brings you there, how old is your cat, any prior medical issues, what do you feed your pet. Afterwards, maybe 5-10 minutes later, another person comes and escorts you and your pet to an examination room. The young lady who escorted us was friendly and treated my cat with great care. A few minutes later, Dr. Negley came and examined my cat. She told me the cost of some x-rays would be $600 bucks! Seriously? And that ended everything. I had to pay a fee if $50 to book the appointment on-line, and I was charged an additional $125 for the exam. I was so shocked and sad. I just paid grumbling a bit. The receptionist gave me info for the ASPCA. When I arrived home, I looked at the bill. It was $175 for an emergency walk-in minus $50. Had I know I was going to be charged as a walk-in, and I probably should have asked, I would have returned the day I scheduled. I was just happy my cat was going to be seen as she had a medical issue which it was not even resolved due to the stunning cost. Very, very sad. Now I have to still find care for my cat, her issue is unresolved, and I have waisted $175 bucks for nothing! So sad.
That is why I rated them a 3, but I wanted to rate a 2 due to the lack of price transparency. Full disclosure of prices should be posted so there are no surprise fees. I felt the place had wonderful, caring workers and all, but the price was way too outrageous. I did not want to be too...
