I was shopping in Walgreens on Coney Island avenue today at 1:20. After checking out and realizing my total was wrong and I didnât get the sale prices I went back in to get a price adjustment. The Manager Patrick was clearly bothered and had an attitude the entire transaction and informed me that he voided out my original transaction and will recharge me for the products with the correct sales. I was confused on how a transaction that was already charged to my card can be voided instead of refunded so I asked for a receipt of proof that I would get this money back. After several minutes, the manager finally put a void receipt on the counter and I walked out the store. As I am going to walk through the door, the manager comes running after me and grabs my stroller with my two children inside of it to stop me from leaving the store because he needs this receipt. I have no product on me. I was not stealing anything. All I had was a receipt that he apparently needed desperately to physically obtain a woman and her two children from leaving the store. Mortified at this manâs hands on my stroller And standing on top of me, I instantly turn and start yelling at him. He yells back gets in my face even more and tries to grab my stroller again. I pull away run out of the store and stand outside to call the police. The manager followed me outside, continuing to berate me in front of my kids informing me that he was also going to call the police. (To which I laughed because I cannot imagine calling the police to tell them that a Customer took a receipt)while This is happening my poor daughter is frantic and screaming her head off at this man yelling and trying to grab our stroller. It took several minutes to calm her down outside the store as he continued to stand outside yelling. I am absolutely mortified that this has happened. I am absolutely mortified that Walgreens would have a manager who thinks this behavior is absolutely acceptable and that he was in the right. Even if I was stealing product (which I wasnât) he still would have no rights to grab me and my children from leaving a store. I was simply leaving with a receipt not even product. The situation was absolutely horrifying and I have now lost my sense of safety for bringing my children into a store with me out of fear of managers like this one who is still currently working at the register in the store location. a few hours later and I am still shaking because of this altercation and the fear of the almost 7 foot man harassing me and my kids . I am waiting to hear back from the customer service department to see how Walgreens is going to handle such a ridiculous...
Read moreI have been going into this Walgreens since it first opened and never had such an awful experience.
I placed an order last night for photo print services for pick up this morning. My sister was the contact for the photo pick up. They called her at 7:55 in the morning with no voicemail or message left saying they cancelled the order. She goes in to pick up the order and the staff was incredibly rude. They told her the photos were coming out blurry and cancelled it to avoid any more wastage. I completely understand why they might have to do something like that, however, they refused to show my sister any proof of blurry photos in addition they asked her to instead upload the photos herself manually and have them printed. They ensured the quality would come out better.
I am sorry but that does not make sense at all. Why would my sister have to re-do the order manually herself to ensure better quality? When my sister had put me on the phone to talk to the staff I can immediately tell by her tone and response that she is not fit to be running the photo center over there and has very minimal understanding of the equipment. If the machine is not working well she should be having a technician coming in to look at the machine. I personally felt like she didn't want to do her job.
The best part of this whole situation is that I have ordered so many times from here and some are even the same photos from previous orders and they came out fine. Walgreens didn't even flag one picture from my order as low resolution. It doesn't make sense why she was not able to print it out. It is either her lack of knowledge on how to use the machine or the machine is not producing well and needs a technician which should be coming frequently for quality assurance.
Since I needed my pictures very quickly I was able to talk to customer service and have my photos transferred but I think next time I would rather use a website like...
Read moreDo Not Use this Walgreens to drop off your Federal Express Envelopes or Packages. We dropped off 3 Important Fed Ex Envelopes on Monday. On Tuesday, there was no movement of the packages according to the Tracking which is very strange for an overnight shipment. As it turns out, the packages were never picked up as the employees did not know the daily pick up already was done by Federal Express. We got back our 2 packages.
We then learned there was a package withheld by Walgreens for some reason that was never shipped either that was ours. I had to go down myself to find out the envelope was never picked up,. The assistant manager could not give me a concrete reason why this happened. I asked for the envelope back and I dropped it off at a reliable drop off location where this never happens.
In short, if you have shipping needs, the Mail Drop located on Avenue U located on Ave U and East 12th Street is the most reliable shipping place around. I have used them for years. Stay away from Walgreens for shipping. They may have some decent sales, however they are not a good...
