Went to Zaores today. The staff were friendly, but overall, I didn’t have the best experience. I was really excited to try the Crazy Crispy Pita after seeing it all over TikTok—it looked amazing! But honestly, it was way too oily and didn’t add anything to the flavor.

We ordered the mixed shawarma, and the steak part was overcooked. The assembly wasn’t great either—the bottom half of the pita was mostly just salad, and the top half was mostly meat with barely any salad.

We also got chicken fingers that comes with fries for the kids. The fries look they had freezer burn and were pretty dry.

Cleanliness could’ve been better. Our table was dirty when we got there, so we had to wipe it down ourselves. Also noticed the cook had gloves with holes in the fingertips and was touching everything around him without changing them once.

The space is small and pretty tight, which made it tough to manage with two kids. And to top it off, they don’t have a bathroom, which was really inconvenient.

One plus is they have a small parking lot right in front, which is great on a busy street like Coney Island Ave—if it’s not packed inside, you might get lucky and grab a spot.

Hope they make some improvements because the concept is cool, but the experience didn’t live up...

I don’t usually write reviews, but this place truly deserves it! This new restaurant is an absolute gem that you don’t want to miss. I got the most delicious beef shawarma I’ve ever had, and to top it off, we enjoyed a fantastic 50% off since it was a little after their opening day. The prices are quite reasonable, even without the discount, making it a great value for the quality you get.

The restaurant is a charming hole-in-the-wall, perfect for a casual hangout with friends, with seating for around 20 people. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, making you feel right at home. What really stood out, though, was the incredible service – the staff were not just friendly but genuinely enthusiastic about making our visit memorable.

From the delightful decor to the GREAT food and excellent service, everything about this place was perfect. I can confidently say this is one of the best shawarma spots in NYC. If you’re looking for a new favorite spot to enjoy a meal with family or friends, this is it. Trust me, you won’t be...

I recently visited this schwarma restaurant and was impressed by the delicious food! The flavors were rich and authentic, and the portions were generous. However, I did find the prices to be a bit steep compared to other similar restaurants in the area.

But what truly made my experience stand out was the exceptional service! The owner's daughters were warm and welcoming, making sure I had everything I needed. And the Spanish guy who works there (I didn't catch his name, unfortunately!) was equally friendly and attentive.

While the prices might be a bit of a deterrent, the excellent food and top-notch service make this restaurant worth visiting. Just be prepared to pay a bit more than you might expect.

Recommended for: Foodies looking for authentic schwarma flavors, and anyone who appreciates exceptional...

Got the deep fried shawarma in a pita. Was 24 dollars. Thats alot of money for this. Was there about 9pm. Alot of the salad choices were gone. The pita is fried. He then adds all the salads I want and tops it with shawarma. So it seems I will be eating a few bites Of shawarma then all salad. Also, I found the shawarma had no flavor, just salty. Needs more spice more seasoning. Was not impressed at all with this. I also got the cholent. Now that was indeed delicious. A little spicy and alot of flavor. If I decide to come back it will definitely be for the cholent, 12 dollars a pound, 6 for a half. And I will save the 24 dollars for the shawarma and instead spend it on the cholent And no bathroom either

Wow. This food establishment is owned and run by family. I had an incredible meal from Zoares. The flavors were authentic and vibrant, and every dish was crafted with care. The hummus was silky smooth, paired perfectly with freshly baked pita bread. The ribeye and lamb shwarma was tender and seasoned to perfection, and the burger was crispy on the outside yet medium and flavorful inside. The atmosphere has a Middle Eastern vibe. The staff was friendly and attentive, meeting our requests. If you're looking for a place that serves authentic Middle Eastern cuisine with exceptional flavors, this is it! I can't wait to return and try more of their menu.

First of all, it’s in the smack middle of a great neighborhood. Ordered the double patty burger and so did my grandpa. My cousin ordered the “famous” pita with shish kabob. The burger was 14:99 which is pretty low for kosher food. The burger was def not junior size. The burger meat was succulent and juicy with a rich blend of Mediterranean flame and fuego. The only complaint was some weird garlic on the fries. That was not succulent unfortunately. I did not enjoy the fries. Staff were kind and helpful. Would recommend if near the area. Also the pics I took were top shelf. You can’t argue with that my loyal viewing fanbase 😉😉
