considering it was $215 (with tax and tip) for two people, super disappointing:( we left full/satiated, but the flavors were mediocre at best. definitely not a place i’d come back to over other sushi spots. we wanted omakase style, but didn’t opt for that option bc we’ve never been here before, so we thought ordering a la carte would be a great way to try, but it pales in comparison to other comparable omakase style places.
tried a bunch of pieces, like i said most were mediocre. the rice tasted… stale? and imo there was too much rice to fish ratio, couldn’t really taste the fish
imo the seared salmon with ikura was the only delicious piece. seared salmon roll, yellowtail pieces, and chopped eel were good. the scallop, and salmon w/ seared tomato were decent. the unagi was super basic, nothing special.
the fluke with cooked quail egg was insanely gross for both of us. we thought the quail egg would be raw… y’know the way it’s served in most places? but the menu was old, had no descriptions/ explanations, and a lot of things were misspelled. so, you’re basically taking a shot in the dark when ordering.
the highlight was this super sweet waitress, her name was Polina, give that girl a raise cause she single handedly saved the experience! she was sooo nice and...

I'm a die hard Sushi aficionado who recently moved to BK after many years living and eating in Manhattan. Heard rumors about Mikasa being a cut above other Brooklyn places; should have read a few reviews before ordering. Tried delivery and ordered Sushi Special Platter for Three. Added a Chilean Sea Bass entree and four miso soups (extra charge; nothing here is included) & hoped for a nice dinner for 4 of us. Bill was $230 without tip & what arrived was ridiculous! Enough negri for maybe 1.5 people (hard to tell since all pieces had slid together in the small plastic tray); maybe 15 pieces with a separate small package of 3 rolls that could have come from a Korean Deli. When I called to complain, the Russian owner got on the phone & tried to convince me that all his fish was imported from Japan; hence the ridiculous portions...HA! Nothing like adding some condescending poor customer service to mediocre, overpriced food. Final insult was the taste. The mediocre fish is slathered with tons of mayo & enough salt (who adds kosher salt to sushi?) to kill any chance of delicate texture and flavor.

Read morePlaced a home delivery from this restaurant, I can truthfully say it was HORRIBLE. The bill came out to a decent number $174.00 for what I would consider worth it if the fish was good and tasted well. The fish was not good, it was very bland, felt like there was no flavor in it whatsoever, and I was surprised because of all the good reviews and raves I hear from people about this place. I ordered a variety types of fish, hoping that not all would be so tasteless, but they all were. I usually do not leave reviews, but i hope I can save at least one person the money and frustration with this place. I called the place back and explained to them how horrible everything tasted, they said i am the only person to complain. I am not that picky of a person, but if i am paying that amount for food i would expect it to be somewhat decent. Sorry to leave this place a bad review, but it is the truth. It was three people that ate the food and all three said it was tasteless fish. What a shame. Save your money, order from a local place or just travel to sushi seki and enjoy the real experience with great service and amazing fish for...
