I went in to do basic purchase for an oil change. Got the oil I wanted, asked for the filter for my make/model, and got a inclusive deal that I get the filter with the oil as a single package deal. It was only a week later I went to do the oil change and noticed that it was the wrong filter. The attendant however gave me the wrong filter, as it looked like the part numbers were very close. Given that I had already drained the oil, I had to bicycle to the store to exchange the oil filter. Well, the correct filter was more expensive, and I had to pay full price, and the inclusive price with the oil has already taken place and he would not give me the all inclusive price with the correct filter! I had no choice but pay full price for the filter separately. Being that this was their error, they should have exchanged for the new filter and adjusted the included total inclusive price discount. I have also found in general that other store have more knowledgeable people. In another instance, the people I spoke to could not describe to me the difference in the various types of antifreeze, although they can point to where the antifreeze was located. I have found that Advance Auto Parts to have generally better educated people. They both refuse to accept the return of 5qt used motor oil and dishonor their motor oil return policy. The manager Irzsaud “Mark” Jaikeran told me this is his store and attempted to kick me out and threatened to call the police after requesting the cooperate office, district manager or regional manager contact info. After then which he took a receipt from out the trash and handed me false information and told me to leave. The receipt only had there rewards service phone number. This is now the second bad experience with the same manager when returning the used motor oil. Once I was able to get the correct information on my own and exit the store another customer approached me and said he had a similar experience with both managers were he felt discriminated against because of our race. I have contacted the cooperate office , district manager, regional manger and no response. This is very disappointing. Read moreGreat staff, but the way the system is set up get two thumbs down, ordered an abs sensor during the weekend in store, not in store coming out of the hub in Hempstead, places the order on the weekend, I was told I was going to get a call to notify me when the abs sensor arrived eta for Monday, never got a call it’s Thursday now, I called and the people that pick up the phones sound like they need a Red Bull, I called 3:13pm to be exact and they couldn’t help me I would have to come in with my receipt get a refund and re order it which will take three days, mind you I ordered it Sunday I believe it was, or option two wait for the manager to call me back, I called back 3:54pm to be exact and the manager was on lunch I don’t know who takes lunch around that time but the way things are handled is like customers aren’t prioritized, waited on hold for ten minutes before I spoke to anyone before I was told all this...... I’m not sure me living in the area will be visiting this store again I rather go to the one in Utica ave.....maybe your system limits the way customer service should be...
