I cannot say enough positive things about Andrey. We found him with a simple google search and after a quick phone call I knew he would be the right fit for us. I explained how my (now) husband and I were not experienced dancers and are very out of touch when it comes to having any type of rhythm and coordination. Before we event met, he said no problem. He was so incredibly flexible with his schedule and extremely quick to respond. Once we met him his cool personality and suave dance moves kept us coming back. He helped us pick a song and alter it to our needs. He never once made us feel uncomfortable with our dance abilities nor penalized us when we told him we didn't have time to practice. He was understanding and cooperative throughout our 8 lessons and when we said a dance move seemed too difficult, he had a back up already lined up for us. Andrey helped us achieve exactly what we wanted... a beautiful, simple, choreographed tango that surprised all our family guests. We looked like flawless professionals on the dance floor (compared to our previous dancing abilities) and the feeling of excitement and happiness upon completing our first dance is a memory I will always cherish. Ballroom Dance in NYC is phenomenal and I cannot say enough good things about Andrey. He went above and beyond for my wife and I in not only creating enjoyable choreography for us as a first dance to our chosen wedding song but also allowing us to display a stunning and absolutely memorable performance at our ceremony (we can't wait to share pictures and videography with you once editing is complete!). His approach to teaching strikes a perfect balance of professionalism, friendliness, and humor, which made each session fun. And although I wasn't the quickest student, Andrey was truly patient with me and I am grateful for his guidance in taking the time to allow me to slowly gain my dancing feet. In addition to this, his schedule is extremely flexible in not only having in-studio sessions but also allowing for in-home visits for those with busy schedules during the week. Wow! I cannot recommend Andrey enough!

We worked with him for several months leading up to our wedding to prepare for our first dance. Before finding Andrey, we did trial lessons at several other studios, but once we met him, we immediately knew he was the best fit.

We brought him the songs we wanted, and he came up with so many creative ideas for our choreography, which eventually turned into a full routine. He always had a positive attitude and helped us build a dance we felt comfortable with, despite our lack of natural talent.

Dancing has always been a fear of mine, but after working with Andrey, I now feel so confident that I actually enjoy it! He didn’t just teach us the routine — he coached us on how to handle things if something went wrong. That preparation paid off: when our DJ accidentally started our song at the wrong point, we were able to improvise the beginning of our dance without anyone noticing, all thanks to Andrey’s guidance.
