This is our "2nd" stay in NYC for follow up appt. for kidney transplant and ensuing complications. We are from out of state and while this trip has been more accomodating we are again in a situation where my husband's doctor wants him to stay longer and the hotel has no availability to extend our stay. We did have to book our first night in a different room because we were initially told there was no availibilty to check in the day before our appt. so we booked accordingly with amother hotel and then called back a few days later, and that first 1 night in a different room became available. We were then offered to stay in that room for the duration of our initial booking for 11 nights. We opted to move from that double to our king studio. I have been happier with the bed and the TV is larger/newer in this room but the room, as with all the rooms we've stayed in here (5 total) is the most dated. There are 2 rooms adjacent and across the hall to us presently under reconstruction. Housekeeping is very attentive and thorough here. Last time we came my husband was hospitalized for almost 3 weeks. I had to leave the hotel and find accomodations elsewhere or move rooms several times. Haven't found the staff to be particuularly welcoming at all and not all too friendly. They are, however, responsive and they do seem to have double duties in running the hotel and residences? The mail/packages rec'd here daily indicative of a postal sub-station and the stored luggage/belongings require a lot of attention. We are grateful for these services. 1 room and a few streetview photos attached.

Staff was very friendly. Upgraded our room for free after the room we booked online was not available. Rate was very reasonable. Suite was clean and we had an awesome view! It was a convenient walk to the hospital, a great restaurant and a deli next door. We appreciated hospital staff recommending this option!!

Clean and comfortable rooms, very near the hospital. It was a little difficult to find because of the confusing sign out front, but a welcome respite when loved ones are in the hospital.

I have never been treated worse at any hotel. Our first room, with two beds, had a toilet that was acting funny and running really loudly. It then overflowed and started gushing water out Of the bathroom and into the living area, including the entrance by our door. This happened after 11pm as we were getting ready for bed. We called the front desk and told them what happened and it was an emergency. We had to call a second time and finally someone showed up with a plunger. They did not know that it was a flood apparently....they went back to get bigger equipment. After we asked to be moved to another room they finally helped us get our things out and brought us to another room which only had one bed. They realized the mistake and then found us a third room...with one bed and a sofa. They said they would look for yet another room. I asked if we could instead just get two single rooms so that we could go to bed (after cleaning up from being flooded with toilet water gag) So they brought my mother to another room and I stayed in the single. It was now after midnight. I was having all day appts at the hospital next door starting in the A.M. which was the purpose of our trip. The next morning, staff entered our room without knocking and then left before we could ask them what they wanted. Shortly after, I was getting ready to leave for my first appt of the day, the manager knocked on my door and told me I had to pack up my things so they could move me to get another room. I told him I had to leave immediately for an appt and he continued to argue with me and tell me that we didn’t book 2 rooms and therefore we had to leave. He said he had a family that needed the room. I told him I was leaving right now and there was nothing I could do as I would be at the hospital all day. He continued asking me when I would come back and pack my things and asking me about my “surgery?” I was not having surgery, which wouldn’t be his business anyway. I told him I had to go and I would ask my mother to call because she was the one who booked the stay but that we wouldn’t have a break at all. She called him while I was in my first procedure and couldn’t reach anyone, so she left a message. We were at the hospital all day, and when we finally returned to eat dinner, we found ourselves locked out. We called the front desk and they sent up an employee who told us we had to go back to the lobby. We brought our dinner and I hobbled back down with my cane. We were told we had to go back up and pack up immediately and we were locked out on purpose for this reason. I told them I could not physically pack up my room yet again right now. They made my mother pack up both of our rooms which were on completely different floors, and bring everything to the final room. This room did have two smaller beds and the manager said we were getting a better room because it also had a sofa which we did not need. When we complained about the treatment we received there, he informed us repeatedly “this isn’t a luxury hotel.” Apparently the $600 we paid to stay there for 2 nights didn’t include being able to use our room without being covered in dirty toilet water or not being harassed by the manager and locked out. Those seem like minimum expectations to me, even for a low level motel. From the moment we arrived, nothing worked. They had trouble checking us in, the bathroom in the lobby was out of order, because there was no sink, and even upon checking us out they could not find us in their system. They had no record of us in the new rooms. The staff was excellent and friendly and helpful, with the exception of the manager who watched my mother cry while carrying her luggage again to a new room and asked her if she “had allergies.” She told him she was crying because of this horrible treatment and he ignored her. What kind of place is this? I’ve never seen anything like it in my life, truly. No discount was given, no comps and very minimal apology was given. The worst stay I’ve ever had and it’s supposed to be a place for sick...

Came here around 4 pm on Friday to the er and got in pretty quick. Everything slowed down after that . Waited in a chair for at least 6 hours to finally get into a tiny bed that was on the side of the hall, not even in a room . Around 11 pm kept asking when my husband was going to get his own room after being told he was admitted already . Waited until 5 am for a nurse to tell him that they needed a stool sample before they could bring him out of the er into a private room . We decided to finally leave at 6 am after being told countless times he was going up stairs and people changing the story . We ended up coming back to the er later in the afternoon as my husband was having the same problems . Had to go through the process all over again , and finally after 7 hours of waiting on a bed in the hallway they gave him a little room after he had said he wanted to leave again . They woke us up at 6 am today saying my h/b was getting his room upstairs and they brought us to a extension of the er where there are curtains for doors and the next person is 5 feet away . So after almost 2 days of people saying he was admitted and getting a private room we are still in this make shift corner of a room in the er STILL waiting to get a private room and haven’t talked to a doctor since 11 am . It is now 5 pm . I don’t know what kind of business this is but no one should ever have to wait 2 days to get a room after being admitted . This hospital is horrible and the staff doesn’t do...
