Nice find on the island. In general Manhattan features a somewhat bland offering of chain ice cream parlors from Hagen Daazs to Ben and Jerry’s to Baskin Robbins. Depending on your level of desperation and ice cream preferences, any one of those might do in a pinch. But they are not destinations.
Dubl Twister is worth a trip if your on the upper east side. Homemade hard ice cream. Traditional recipe and flavor profile. More mild, less sweet than richer counterparts.

Read moreThis place only has a multitude of 5 star reviews because if you leave one you get a free topping. It is certainly not worthy of any stars. The staff is extremely rude. When someone mentions “creamy ice cream” in a review they must mean melted ice cream. Both the soft serve and hard ice cream are always liquid. The taste isn’t great either. To top it off, they got rid of their punch cards and raised prices. It only does well because it’s the only ice cream spot on York in the area. You’re WAY better off walking one avenue up to Sedutto which is actual good ice cream and...
