I was walking around and thinking of getting a massage, I called and asked to stop by, and I wanted to see how clean the place is and if it is warm inside, which is was! I have high requirements/expectations :) And I liked the place, I got a 90-minute full body massage for $75 and a 30-minute foot massage for $25 as well. Plus, I left 20% for tips. Which was in my budget. My body is so grateful and relaxed right now. Thanks a lot, ladies !
Massage was good. Usually, for the first time, technicians don't go too far and do pretty gently. They are not psychic or telepathic and can not read my thoughts. We need to use the words and tell them what we need. If I'm not satisfied, I will tell about it and ask for exactly what I want. If it's too hot, I would ask to turn off the AC (heater), If I'm thirsty, I would ask for the water, If I need to use a bathroom during the 90-minute massage, I would, If the massage hurts, I will ask to change the technique. So, I will get what I want and what I came for. We are adults, and communication is key. I liked the eye masks they gave me, to make my eyes warm, it helps to relax eye muscles. I liked the music, almost fell asleep.
What I didn't like was that there are no separate rooms. it's a long room divided by textile curtains. The other customer didn't mute her device, and it was ringing and annoying. Also, when she finished her session, she got dressed and put on her so much perfume, and it was too strong and was not a pleasure. It's a public place, and we need to respect other people. Please, learn how to behave.
It's a busy area and it's a hustle to find...
Read moreBamboo Spa was a very nice place to have a massage. This small and intimate establishment has the tranquil charm and beauty of the traditional Asian cultural aesthetic. More importantly, the staff was very kind, patient and friendly from the receptionist/masseuses to the owner. As far as service goes there was some noise of an early arriving customer who was talking loud in the waiting area and occasionally some loud shuffling of items. However, once asked if they could bring the noise level down the message was sent and it immediately stopped. Additionally, the 60 min full body massage with hot stones included was good overall but unfortunately all the attention was given to my back side only. Even after having been asked to flip to the front the only massage recieved was to my head while the rest of my body in front (arms, legs and feet) were unattended to. Fortunately though at the front desk we got to speak directly to the owner who was also working the desk and she was so warm, open and receptive to constructive feedback which was offered by myself and my Mom and she was both happy and grateful for it. Their policy of a monetary tip or customer review was very wise and humble to request. Still myself and my Mom offered both because we were pleased with the overall service and felt there was a genuine desire to make reasonable improvements where it would be most beneficial. Overall, a new business with a solid foundation and great potential for future success I would definitely come back and recommend them as a spot to check out...

Pros: 1) Super easy to purchase and to make appointment via phone. 2) The facility seemed fairly clean.
Cons: 1) My partner is 6'1" and the massage bed was not large enough to hold him. One of his legs was constantly hanging over for dear life. Would not recommend for individuals with bigger builds. 2) Large window cutout at corner of room allowing you to hear EVERYTHING from outside. Throughout the 90 minutes we hard the doorbell ring, conversation between front desk concierge and other customers, and people walking down hallway. 3) Please refer to note posted inside massage room. Both our masseuse were conversating during our massage. My partners masseuse went even further to pick up a phone call. Zero courtesy to ask if we were okay with that. No apologies given. 4) Groupon clearly states wine and chocolates included. They gave us a bottle of sparking grape juice. False advertising. 5) They charged a "tax" in upon arrival which was apparently not included in the Groupon price.
All-in-all the entire experience was a horrendous one for us. I would never pay the $275 full price that they charge and even the Groupon deal was not much of a deal considering what we had...
