After looking at these reviews it explains a lot. I most definitely wonât be coming back unless itâs for my prescription although it seems itâll be a hassle to get that as well. To begin with I've been a customer here for years now and I always thought the lady with tan skin and wavy/curly hair is somewhat dismissive and rude but I chose to give them another chance because I thought perhaps sheâs just had a rough day or something but it seems that was not the case. First off , I had ordered a three month supply of monthly contact lenses with this same lady and once I picked them up she told me âno you ordered biweeklyâsâ however, I know that was not the case but I chose not to argue with her anyways. Then I went back to pick out new frames and asked the other woman with glasses and a lighter complexion if she could just confirm with my insurance if itâd be covered that month , I knew my insurance covers glasses every other year but I wasnât sure if that was the exact month it corresponded to and she called for me. As she was calling to check the other lady with curls decided to but in and say âno you got glasses last year it wonât cover them this yearâ, although I knew this was false because the last time I had chosen glasses was slightly before my trip to Mexico two years ago but again I chose not to argue with her and left. What bothered me was that they didnât proceed to actually confirm and instead lied to my face and said insurance had told them no. I ended up getting glasses elsewhere and they were in fact covered by my insurance, which demonstrates that they chose to lie to my face which is just unbelievably unprofessional. Afterwards, I had stopped by on a Saturday morning to order a new set of contact lenses with the lighter complexion. The following Tuesday I received a call from the darker complexion women and she asked me â did you want the biweeklyâs?â I proceeded to say âno for the second time I asked for the monthly contacts , last time I asked for them you gave me the biweeklyâsâ to which she replied âyea well those are more expensive Iâm gonna tell you how much thatâll costâ and immediately put me on hold before I could tell her I didnât mind the price I simply wanted what I had asked for 4 days ago, why were they calling me four days after I placed the order to ask what I wanted? I hung up by accident while on hold so I called back twice to tell her I was no longer interested in purchasing anything from here being that Iâve had multiple issues here already and no one picked up the phone, weeks later they called me to say my order was ready and I had felt bad if I didnât pick them up so I picked them up just now but if Iâm not mistaken they gave me biweeklyâs yet again. Iâm beginning to think sheâs doing it on purpose because itâs not that hard to simply take an order to repurchase contacts. Ive chosen this place over and over because itâs the nearest one to me but after my experience and seeing the reviews they have I've noticed they simply donât give good customer service , their dishonest, rude, and dismissive. Theirs many optical stores in bay ridge, THERE ARE OPTIONS. I wouldnât come here unless I was looking to be...
Read moreI was recommended to Oasis Vision Center by my Ophthalmologist and made an appointment. They gave a complete exam and changed my eyeglasses prescription. I order new eyeglasses for the new prescription and within a week the glass were ready. I drop into the store to pickup my glasses. It was a total mad house in the store and the reason for my one star recommendation. There was a lady behind the counter helping someone. There was two others behind the counter just looking around. I was waiting to speak with the girl sitting behind the counter and someone just walks up and ask her a question. Afterward this girl just put her head down and iignore me. This girl would not get up and help anyone. The other girl tried to help to look for my glasses and after five minutes she found them. She just hand them to me and a glass case. She did not see how the glasses fit on me and the case was from a different manufacturer. She direct me upstairs if I need any adjustments to my glasses. I would not recommend this Vision Center to anyone. I could go to Lens Crafter in the mall for better service. It's not that I am looking for some free service or product, but I paid full price with no insurance coverage. I expect to be properly fitted for these glasses and get the...
Read moreI had gone here when I first moved into the neighborhood and because my former eye doctor had retired. First time around it seemed okay, but like other reviewers, I was a bit taken aback by the receptionist's demeanor. I stopped into Oasis Vision Center a couple of weeks ago to make an appointment for an eye exam on July 9th, 2025, at 10:00 AM. When I arrived for my appointment, I was asked by a young lady, not the receptionist, what I had an appointment for. I told her I had an appointment for an eye exam. She then told me that that was impossible because the doctor would be away for the next couple of weeks. I asked her if that was the case then why was I given an appointment for this date, if it was known that the doctor would be away. The young lady could only offer me an apology, and she also offered to reschedule my appointment, which I quickly declined. There is another eye doctor just a few blocks off from Oasis Vision Center and I made an appointment there for an eye exam, and their receptionist was most efficient. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Oasis...
