So, now yesterday aIready I was in the Banana Republic store at 42nd Street/Grand Central. First I was in the store at 5th Avenue/Rockefeller Center. Although this is a bigger store, they had not everything in my size what I would have liked. A woman in the store looked for these articles and told me there are enough at 42nd Street/Grand Central. So I decided to go there, buy the articles they had only there in my size and then go back to the other srore and buy the rest. This was not needed anymore. They had everything I wanted in my size at 42nd Street/Grand Central. Shopping took long but just because of me. I fly home to Germany today and was still allowed to spend around 450 $ so the Gemran customs doesn“t ask for exta taxes at the German airport. I still had 310 $ cash and wanted to get rid of that but also wanted to get as close to my limit as possible. So I looked for my size, grabbed everything they had in my size, already had my hands full. The female sales associate then saved these items for me in a corner, so I was able to look for more pieces relaxed. I then asked her to tell me what the price including taxes is, until I hit almost 450 $. Because I only had 310 $ cash I went to a bank in Grand Central and got the rest of the money. The sales associate saved my pieces until I came back. So she was very patient. After I paid I still had a handful of dollars. So while the sales associate was packing my bag, I asked her if she could accept tip, because she was so nice. But she wasn“t allowed. After that we had a little bit of smalltalk, for example about my flight back home. Unfortunately I don“t know her name, otherwise I would mention it here. She is a young, white lady with dark hair and glasses. I don“t even know if she told me her name, but sure she did. It seems at Banana Republic everybody tells you her or his name. "My name is ..., if you need any help, I am right there". But I have to confess, at 5th Avenue/Rockefeller Center some sales associates told me their names and I also heard names told to others. But with me these names are heard and when I leave the fitting room, they are forgotten. I will always approach sales associates without using their names. I would really like to know the name of the sales associate at 42nd Street/Grand Central. If I come back to New York and I should buy at Banana Republic, I would always go back to 42nd Street/Grand Central and if she is still there, I would always buy from her. For Banana Republic, I can“t really talk about the quality now, My pieces are still in the bag and will fly home with me unworn. But in the store they felt good. I also like that I could buy different colours. they had many nice colours. But for an American bramd, I would appreciate if they would produce in the USA. Or as an European, some fabrics come from Italy, why don“t you then produce in Italy. What I read on my labels is Vietnam, Sri Lanka and so on. I don“t know if Made in the USA or Made in Europe has to be more expensive, but I would...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreReceived excellent service today! The store was a bit hard to find; I thought it was inside Grand Central Station but the entrance was on 42nd street itself. I came to try on some large square scarves and found some great ones! The staff were very helpful and patient with me, even going to the back of the store to get the scarves when they couldnāt find them out on the floor. They pulled out a few fresh ones and walked me to a changing room so I could try them on privately (as I veil my head and face publicly). They let me take my time trying both scarves on, which fit excellently as headscarves and complemented my face veil really nicely! I bought one and am very happy with it. I hope banana republic will continue to make large square scarves for people like me who veil...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had an incredible shopping experience thanks to Jennie June, who was exceptionally kind and attentive on my birthday. Unfortunately, I didn't receive my birthday perk through email, but Jennie went above and beyond by helping me call customer service. Although the call center was not very helpful and we spent over 30 minutes on the phone, Jennieās support kept me smiling throughout the ordeal. Her compassion and professionalism truly stood out. I applaud her outstanding service and would definitely return to the store just to work...
