Such a great vibe as you walk up to CSG. You can tell it's a neighborhood staple and a way that most people in the area start their day! The menu options are listed on the window as it wait outside (covid protocols) and this is it a great way to make the right selection as you wait! Once you get in and place your order, you can easily get distracted by the branded merch of cupboard staples you might want to pick up! The Food: by far the B&B might be one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had! Very simple, but all of the ingredients were great! The bread and bacon stood out, but the layering of ingredients speak to the care put into this breakfast sandwich! The vegitailian and Italian were also great hits! The sauces and fresh veggies on these sandwiches really wake up your taste buds! The qty of ingredients between the bread was just right! Not too much or too little! They had great balance and again, the BREAD! So fresh and crispy with each bite! I really can't wait to go back and try others on the menu!

Court Street Grocer will always and forever be my favorite deli. They have such unique sandwiches with very very high quality ingredients including break from Caputos which is so good. The veg-Italian combo is my favorite but I also love the Italian combo and Ollieflower sandwiches. One tip- if you’re looking for a lot of food, the cold sandwiches are a lot bigger than the hot ones. My boyfriend has gotten a few of the hot sandwiches and they seem to be smaller portions than the cold sandwiches on the long Italian bread. I first had it at a baby shower where they ordered 3 massive sandwiches as part of the spread and I just think it’s the ultimate party food. We can’t seem to break off from only going to Court Street Grocer when we’re in the Cobble Hill neighborhood. Ive noticed in the last year their weekend can include long wait times (30+ minutes) so be prepared for that.

So here's the real deal with this place-- It's a beautiful little grocery/sandwich shop that looks straight out of an Edward Hopper painting (like most nice spots in Carrol Gardens) and the only reason I came in here was there 500 something reviews and the fact that they seem to be around for a bit. All of this set-up lure blasted me into a major crash of disapointment when I ordered the Turkey Ruben. The sandwich of average size thin rye bread was embedded with some non seasoned turkey (the kind you can get at any casual corner bodega) maybe one slice of thin cheese and their special house made sauce was thinly lathered and barely making a statement. The worst part of this super average corner style bodega sandwich was that it was 17.00. That's right-- you read that correct. 17! It's actually blasphemous. I get they have to pay rent in a ritzy area of Brooklyn but short-selling quality like this and making a sloppy and quick snack-- when all else promises otherwise is really a reason to never go back again and suggest others do not even try. You need to work on your pricing scale. It is making a fool of you and your customer when you charge rates for accoutrements that might very well be Boars Head or some average deli Cheese. I'm not trying to be a food snob-- but if I wanted this level of mediocrity I'd go to the bodega next door. Do better and work with care when you make food for people and if you don't-- Reduce your...

Words cannot describe the truly mediocre experience we just had at Court Street Grocer. Context: we have been 3-4 times and enjoyed our sandwiches. This time, we ordered at 12:29 via DoorDash pickup. As we grew hungrier and hungrier, we got more excited. When they finally were ready at 1:20 PM (15 min past the anticipated ETA) we were met with the most hastily put together, mayo-based slop of all time.

One sandwich was meant to have coleslaw and pickles; it all blended together in a drippy mayo-y mess. No acid - no tang - no zest - barely even any salt. Just mayo. The other, a pulled pork sandwich, had absolutely no flavor other than roasted red pepper.

Each sandwich was 18 dollars, bringing our total bill to $38.11.

Any old neighborhood bodega would have been better, faster, and cheaper.

Court Street Grocers: what are we paying for? The food was overpriced and bland, and the service was slow and apathetic.

Owners, if you care: do not bother replying to this review, because nothing you could do (refund, free food, nice apology) could make up for how disappointing and lame this experience was. We will never, ever go back. I would rather go to the grocery store and spend an hour making a sandwich for half the price and double the satisfaction.

Truly a ridiculous experience and an utter...
