His teaching style combines a perfect balance of encouragement and expectation, empowering his students with confidence as they train and compete. Having an almost 20 year history in martial arts (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt), my standards are incredibly high as to who I would trust with my child's martial arts journey. She started at another Martial Arts school before and the teaching at Johnny’s is far superior - more attention to proper form, technique, self discipline, self defense, all while keeping it fun for the kids! Classes are age and development appropriate and he moves the kids up slowly with their belt ranks so they are really learning and earning their belts.
