Brooklyn Tots is an amazing daycare...my grandson has been at tots for 4 years. We love it!! They have home cooked food, wonderful caring teachers, fun activities all the time..kids don't want to go home at the end of the day. I read the previous review all children have over an hour of outside play kids ages 2-5 are always outside weather permitting of course..during the summer kids have sprinkler time daily. I know the nursery babies might look big but they are all ages 7 months to 22 months and as per daycare policy infants are not allowed out of the strollers for safety reasons. Kids that little can mouth things and pick up dirty things off the floor I know for fact owners are looking out for their safety. My grandson started in the nursery program and their class had daily stroller walks for an hour and then the teachers would meet the other staff in park while some kids slept in stroller. Trust me if you are looking for an amazing daycare center in the neighborhood where your kids feel safe Brooklyn tots is the way to go. Do a tour of the place before writing...
Read moreI am not rating the Day care programms or teachers. I just want to say a couple of words about their walks to the Playground. I go to the playground very often in the mornings, and every time I see this picture: 2 teachers are sitting with their phones, and 6-8 kids are sitting in the 4-seats strolleers. They are bored, they are crying. Teachers say that it is the Day care policy, because the kids are too small they should sit in the strollers. And that they can't manage 8 kids. I don't believe it! The kids look more than a year old, I would say it is 1,5 to 2 year, 2,5. They want to run, to play! If it is not allowed to play, then why would you bring them to the playground? They are crying because they want to get out! They want to play! Better not to come to the playground if it is not allowed them to play. Yes, kids need the fresh air. Go for a walk with the stroller, if there is no place where to play near the Day care where they would crawl and walk. If you go to the playground-let them...
Read moreCalled to get some information and possibly schedule a tour. When I called, a man answered the phone rudely as though I was bothering him, "Brooklyn tots, Brooklyn tots". I couldn't understand what he said so I had to repeat myself few times. Then when I asked to speak to someone about the program, he said director stepped out for a sec and he can answer questions for me. When I started to ask questions about the program, he said any education related questions, I have to call back on Thursday to speak with a director. When I asked how many directors are there at the location, he said one. So he lied about director stepping out for second; didn't let me ask any questions about the program that is non education related; and was extremely rude the entire time.
Needless to say, I won't be calling back for more info. If this is the first impression I am getting from this place, my child will definitely not be...
