So my friend and I took this class the benefits were nice after and the teacher is nice BUT some major changes!!! are you certified because she is operating from her apartment and itās not a real studio -she does not ask permission to adjust you!!!! YOU NEED TO ASK IF PEOPLE WANT TO BE TOUCHED DO NOT PUSH PEOPLE DEEPER INTO THE POSE, not everyone is as flexible as you!! -This is NOT a beginners class!!! Sheās asking people to do full splits, side splits, even a FLIP!! This is based on HER capability not on NEW BEGINNER STUDENTS!! You need to ASK if people want to do acupressure spikes and ESPECIALLY if you want them to TAKE THEIR TOPS OFF, tell them it is OPTIONAL, EXPLAIN THINGS Do not just tell people to do things, explain why and let them no they donāt have to!! Ask, ask, ask, explain, YOU COULD HURT SOMEONE. My friend was uncomfortable and didnāt want to do the spikes at the end and you didnāt ask or make it a comfortable space. Also you are giving people massages!! Without asking if itās ok!!! The lesson here is Do Not Touch People Without Permission. I am lucky I said No to a lot of things but this teacher is not making a safe space for her students. It feels like you donāt have a choice for things. Definitely not coming back to this class.
Look I think you are a good teacher and you have a lot of potential but you need to get certified with a SCHOOL and you need to understand CONSENT. And learn Aerial Yoga for beginners truly not for YOU, for BEGINNERS.
If you are thinking about coming here, I would avoid, especially if you care about consent, and people touching or adjusting you with permission. IMPROVEEEE!!
UPDATE: She claims that I agreed to this in a waiver, but the waiver does not say that the instructor will be GIVING MASSAGES, TELLING YOU TO TAKE YOUR TOP OFF, PUTTING YOU ON HIGH INTENSITY ACCUPUNCTURE MATS, AND ADJUSTING YOU WITHOUT CONSENT. Also, any good yoga teacher who makes someone feel uncomfortable should never blame the student and should take accountability. She is here blaming me and saying everything is a choice but yoga is vulnerable and when you have people coming to your class they will follow your words because you are the example. Secondly, it is forced. When you donāt ask, you are coming into someone personal space FORCEABLY, meaning without asking. So yes you did. Stop making excuses and apologize, and start asking people for permission to be in their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently had the pleasure of trying out Aero Yoga, which was phenomenal! As someone who enjoys exploring different fitness techniques, Aero Yoga offered a unique and refreshing experience unlike anything I've tried before. First and foremost, the instructor was extremely knowledgeable and created a safe and supportive environment for participants of all skill levels. The combination of yoga and aerial acrobatics was fun and challenging in the best way possible. The use of the hammock provided a new dimension to traditional yoga poses, allowing for deeper stretches and enhanced core engagement. I felt a sense of weightlessness and freedom as I deepened my stretches and tried out inversions, all with the reassuring support of the hammock. Beyond the physical benefits, Aero Yoga also promotes mental wellness and relaxation. The focus on breath control and mindfulness helped me to unwind and escape from everyday stresses. The sensation of floating and surrendering to the hammock was incredibly calming and allowed me to achieve a deep sense of relaxation and tranquility. Moreover, the classes were well-organized and structured. Each session started with a warm-up and gradually progressed to more advanced postures. The pace was just right, gradually allowing us to build strength and flexibility. Aerial yoga is a captivating and invigorating practice that adds a thrilling dimension to traditional yoga. Suspended from a soft fabric hammock, it combines elements of yoga, Pilates, and aerial acrobatics to create a unique and transformative experience.
One of the most remarkable aspects of aerial yoga is its ability to enhance flexibility and strength. The hammock serves as a prop that allows people to deepen their stretches and explore poses that may be challenging on the mat. This makes it an excellent choice for individuals looking to improve their overall flexibility.
Beyond the physical benefits, aerial yoga offers a sense of freedom and playfulness. It encourages people to trust the hammock and themselves, fostering a profound connection between mind and body. The sensation of floating in the air while executing yoga poses is both exhilarating and liberating, making it a great way to relieve stress and boost one's mood.
Aerial yoga is a captivating and transformative practice that offers physical benefits, mental clarity, and a unique sense of freedom. We end each class listening to a meditation while laying on a mat with needles. I would highly recommend this type of class to anyone who is willing to try something new and make their...
