It Was just by accident that i found Joanna, the owner of Calm-Massage. I was waiting for my appointment with my chiropractor when i overheard her talking with the physical thereapist in their offices. They were talking about Calm-Massage and stated that Joanna does holistic treatments such as lympathic drainage. She was highly recommended! On my first visit, Joanna greeted me at the door with her calm demeanor (I can see why the Spa is called Calm) When I entered the lovely brownstone, Joanna likes her clients to remove their shoes. She will then give you a pair of clean sandals where she will escort you down to the lovely Spa which is emaculate. Before your treatment she offers you either a cup of her special green tea or cucumber water.

I am being treated for Rosacea right now. Joanna uses an LED. THis light (Light emittingt diode) seems to heal the capillaries that appear just under the skin in some people, mostly of Northern European decent.

Joanna's other specialties are facials, massage and foot reflexology all of which I have had already.

The reviews live up to the experience. I was in serious need of a massage and was panicked to find someone. After searching online and reading the reviews, I wanted to get in with Johanna. She was quick to get back to me and able to fit me her schedule. I have been to many spas over the last 10 years and this is by far the best. When Johanna greeted me at the door and upon walking in, I felt a sense of calm come over me. The space was Ah-mazing!!! A large room with candles and aromatherapy. I sat on a comfortable couch and drank cucumber water while we discussed what areas to work on and a bit about my history. Johanna is very friendly and easy to talk to. The massage table was padded and cushion - a little slice of heaven. The massage was the ideal combination between Deep Tissue and Swedish. My sister gave me a skincare gift certificate for my birthday and now I won't go anywhere else. I'm giving 5 stars, if I could give more I would not hesitate. My skin had few age spots, wrinkles and drying out terribly. Being raised in Southern California the sun played a serious number on my face. Still being fairly young panic mode had not set in yet, but it is becoming a concern.

Joanna the owner with her personal touch and professionalism reversed my problem only after a few visits. She addressed the condition, individualized my treatment, evaluated my diet, and tailored a holistic skincare regimen just for me.
