The experience at this restaurant left much to be desired. From the appetizer to the main course. The nightmare began with the wrong appetizer. Then they brought the correct one, but it was very bland and undercooked. They brought it again, and it was basically the same. When the main courses arrived, they were another disappointment, as the cuts of meat were very tough and tasteless, and the vegetables seemed to lack a hint of salt. They offered to replace it with another type of meat, but it took forever. Someone came to our table and told us that the problem was that they had a new chef and they were still training him. They insisted we get something from the bar, but we said no. I want to add that when they brought the other cut of meat, it wasn't the one we ordered, and it was terribly tough and again lacking in seasoning. It seemed like it had just been taken out of the freezer. At no point did they offer us a discount. Aside from that, they had the nerve to ask us to leave a good review! While we were waiting for our food, we noticed that two other tables were also having problems with their orders, and just like us, they insisted they order drinks from the bar and leave a good review. The prices are exaggerated for such poor quality food and lack of professionalism. The music was too loud and made it unpleasant. This restaurant definitely leaves a lot to be desired in many ways. I definitely do not...
Read moreToday I went with my family to try Parceros, a new Colombian restaurant. I’ve eaten at many Colombian spots before, including Colombia in Park Slope and Bogota Bistro, so I was excited to try this place.
I ordered the churrasco steak with chimichurri. The drinks were very good and reasonably priced, and the server was very nice.
Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. The menu picture showed a generous skirt steak with green chimichurri sauce, but what I received was a paper-thin, overcooked steak that was very dry and definitely not a true churrasco. It came with just 2 tostones and a small cup of guacamole. For nearly $30, this felt more like a cheap thin steak than the proper dish I expected.
I love Colombian food and I see potential here — the atmosphere, service, and drinks were good — but the steak was not what was advertised. I hope they improve the quality and accuracy of their dishes, because this could be a great spot if they...
Read moreThe food was very good. The wait time is a little bit over the top. There was hardly anyone inside and we still waited 40mins. It’s also very expensive compared to the other Colombian restaurant around the corner and the other restaurants in the area. 3 dollars for a can of soda, 3 dollars for water, 5 dollars for 2 slices of plantain…not 2 plantains, 2 skinny slices of plantain and almost 20 for a chicken and rice dish. Usually a 5 dollar order of plantains is a whole plate! The food is very tasty but if nobody goes in because of the prices the taste doesn’t matter. Also it seems like the prices were lower because a lot of the menu items are blacked out. I suggest they go back to the original prices. I also suggest a few things to save money. 1) use brown paper bags for the empanadas not plastic Tupperware 2) offer filtered tap water like most places 3) hire another employee. That sounds like spending money but you’ll turn more...
