Cards and Coffee NYC — Local services in New York

I have been to this store a few times. The guys are nice and fun to negotiate and banter with. They don’t have much raw vintage but occasionally they get some. A few weeks ago I bought some 80’s rookies that they had just gotten in the day before. They weren’t even priced yet, just sitting on the counter with a ‘66 Fergie in a screw down. When I got home to photograph the cards for resale I noticed they were trimmed. I did the responsible thing, called immediately so they would know not to buy more cards from that seller. The employee I spoke with said bring the cards in for a refund (even though there is a no refund policy). It took me a couple of weeks but I finally made it back to the store. We’re talking about $20 worth of cards so not a big deal either way. The employee that I bought the cards from and spoke on the phone was not there. The discussion that ensued was in a word, unproductive. Not important. Again though I’m doing the responsible thing. Because according to the employees even had they agreed that the cards were trimmed, which they did not, they would not have refunded me. I recently visited this store and I must say, it’s a haven for sports card enthusiasts! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the extensive selection and the welcoming atmosphere.

This place is great. There isn’t that many trading card places in NYC. But in The West Village New York There is a place that’s called Cards and Coffee that has a great selection of cards from Pokémon to ice hockey, some cards are inexpensive but are still good. Some are expensive but are really good. The workers are really nice and they would do anything to start a conversation.
