Great Court, good staff and Service, there’s also air conditioned area, which is great on a hot summer day and there’s little cabanas as well to keep you out of the light, but it is definitely a furnace blast in terms of playing in the middle of the day I would suggest early or late so you can be in the shade… They’re a little dividers between the courts, but they’re not that high so you can lose a ball, but the courts are decent space around them some of the Citi pickles do not have adequate space this one does. it seems a bit pricey, but I play in group league so it doesn’t feel as much but I guess that’s New York and that’s Central Park $$ in a short walk from the city bike station so it’s accessible, it is a very steep decline to get to it so it is not ADA accessible, there is an overlook above it where people can observe matches happening. I think that would be accessible, but the rink itself is probably very difficult to get to with a wheelchair (I wasn’t looking for a particularly, but I realized I was having a hard time finding a way to get in, but I was late the first time) -enter from the west side, it’s not clear signage and the upper terrace looks like there might be an entrance, but there isn’t one. you have to go to the west and go down in the valley. *Be sure to download the city pickle app. Your life will be easier if you do it before you get there. It’s pretty efficient but if you don’t have the app and haven’t registered on it, it takes a little time so if you’re late for your court-time.You don’t want to be doing the app even if your friends reserve the court, you still need to...
Read moreJust played at CityPickle in Central Park. Showed up on time with good energy, ready to celebrate Mother’s Day.
From the jump we were met with attitude. Vibe went from light and fun to weird and tense real quick. Still, we kept it polite.
Then we realized we got charged twice. Brought it up, got told we were wrong. Instead of arguing, we paid again just to keep things moving.
By the time we actually started playing we’d already lost 19 minutes.
End of our session, we’re rushed off the court with a cold “you guys need to leave.” No grace, no heads-up.
Finally showed receipts—turns out yes, we were overcharged. Not a single apology. Just smirks on the way out.
Unprofessional, rude, and honestly...
Read moreAmazing .. playing pickleball right in iconic central park! reserved courts here for a special family event and had the best time. It did rain in the morning which caused some scheduling issues .. the staff did an amazing job drying the courts off and did the best that was possible to address the schedule problems the rain caused. and, they were super nice and accommodating. Overall was so cool to play in the park and they have a LOT of courts. And they are in great condition and the nets are top quality. Can't thank them enough for making such a great part of our special family day...
