The worst service ever! WARNING DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU ARE NOT TURKISH. They treated me and my family worse than Donald trump would treat a Mexican. The had a complete disregard for service or just basic humanity. The waitress tried to sit us by the door and when we requested a seat further back due to the wind making the front uncomfortably cold, she became visibly irate and sat us further back and handed a table of 3 people 1 menu. Did not even bother to look at us when she handed the menu and instead was sitting down a Turkish couple next to us. After I requested another menu she points to the one on the table and became irate again when I requested an additional one. When the food was served I requested ketchup for my 4 year old. The counter was literally 5 feet away from us, after waiting 5 mins and watching the waitress simply standing around and talking to the cashier and another Turkish customer I decided to walk up and request the ketchup myself. The cashier girl told me to go have a seat very rudely and told me they would bring it when she has time and looked away as if I didn't even exist. I told her that I would wait for it because my daughter is waiting to eat and we have been waiting a while. She refused to give it to me and grabbed it from behind where she was standing and had one of the girls come and slam it onto our table.
I have never in my life experienced such rudeness as a restaurant in my life. Maybe it has something to do with trump wining the election and them all having blonde hair and blue eyes. Guess they feel like it's acceptable to treat customers that don't look like them in the manner they treated me and my family. If my wife wasn't so nice I would be have paid the bill and or stayed for the food. The place looks really good online... but they're attitude and service ruin at all. First step is they should tell their employees that people other than Turkish people will come there to eat and they need to service everyone not just the people they choose to.
I would not visit this place if they paid me. I am utterly disgusted at the way we were treated. By the way THE FOOD WAS...
Read moreI have been wanting to eat from this place for months because I love Turkish food. I am not writing this review to hate on this resteruant but instead to help them understand what they are doing is wrong. I ordered from them on Uber Eats and it was a very unpleasant experience overall. First of all the price they charge for their food according to the portion they give is a ripoff and unreasonable. Given the fact the competion for the Halal food industry especially in Astoria is huge right now. Every other block has an amazing Halal restaurant competing to be the best. I have had food from other Halal resteraunts from the Middle East in Astoria and there prices and portions are very generous. On top of all that it's Ramadan so they couldn't even be generous about that. On one of the orders I ordered they gave me 1 small dry kabab with a plate full of white rice for over $15! That's just one plate I ordered amongst the $100+ bill I spent on Uber Eats to order food for them. The sandwich I ordered had literally all salad and a small tiny kabab disgused into the salad to make it seem like a kabab sandwich. I am really disappointed that these brothers are over charging customers and not giving them the proper portions for the amount of money they charge. They should learn from the Turkish Vlogs on YouTube where the Vloggers show how generous the people in Turkey are with there hospitality in the food industry. I truly wish to visit this place one more time and I hope the brothers there can make there portions more generous and reasonable for the price they charge. I don't want to end the review on a bad note because I am not trying to hurt there business. There food quality is good. But please brothers if you going to charge that much money then at least give your customers honest portionable food according to that price. As I said there are so many Halal restaurants in Queens and NYC now so you have to be honest and be sincere with the service and food if you want to remain a good...
Read moreShameful!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Drove over 45 min to get here and an additional 20 min looking for parking walking over 5 blocks. We walked in and had to look for someone to help. Finally, a lady comes up to us and the first words out of her mouth was “do you have a reservation”? We told her we did not and the next words out of her mouth was “we can’t help you then”. We looked around and saw literally 20+ open seats. She spoke to us as if we were beneath her and that this place is doing us a favor if they accepted us. Just so we’re on the same page... WE PAY YOUR SALARY!!! You continue treating people the way you did with us, you’ll find yourself in the unemployment line. We asked her to ask the manager if he can make an exception or even outdoor seating. Keep in mind we were not argumentative what so ever as were mainly seeking options for our long drive here. She went to the back and came back 30 seconds later stating the manager said that there was nothing they can do. We did not push for an argument and ended up leaving extremely insulted. I can’t say with certainty however, my daughter was wearing the hand of god around her neck and I noticed the lady continue to stare at it. If your not familiar with this specific necklace, it represents Judaism. Mind you we’re in a Turkish restaurant. Not insinuating this place is biased but based on the lady continuously looking at the necklace.... it just makes you wonder why we were treated the way we were. Very rude staff and no apologies. Will highly recommend seeking other...
