5 stars for friendly service & facility cleanliness 3 stars for disorganization, understaffing, and limited style options.
Visited on a rainy, blustery evening so the streets were deserted and this store was mostly empty. I encountered perhaps 10 other shoppers during my 2 hours there.
The entrance security guard was friendly and the store was clean. That said, the aisles, toiletries, shoes, and luggage sections were messy and disorganized, and I did not see other employees until I arrived at the registers. A store this large should have at least 15 employees at all times.
Pros - new, very large, well-illuminated, fully stocked with wide variety, and plus size clothing. This store has security cameras, elevators, fitting rooms, clean bathrooms, shopping carts and wheeled baskets, and security guards.
Cons - VERY narrow aisles, disorganized wares and clothing, poorly sorted shoes (although I noticed they were on the correct "size" shelves), sorely understaffed, and a limited selection of "in-style"/attractive goods.
This Burlington is arranged a bit like a maze. Thankfully it isn't impossible to navigate, like Ikea where you're forced to traverse the entire store to exit. However, it's a cumbersome experience to maneuver complex messy aisles in such a large venue with no windows.
In the end, I was overwhelmed by the mess and decided to return another day. As I mentioned, they have a wide variety for every aspect of the home and family, so hopefully something will catch my eye and fit my needs next time.
I want to express my concern regarding the attitude of the Manager at Burlington, Raquel. On several occasions, I have noticed that she shows indifference toward people, especially when they speak Spanish, which I find disrespectful. Additionally, her behavior reflects a lack of willingness to work; when you ask her for something, she makes unpleasant facial expressions and helps, but as if it were an unbearable obligation for her. I have also witnessed how she speaks inappropriately to employees, which leads me to believe that she lacks the necessary qualities to hold a leadership position like that of a Manager. Her attitude negatively affects not only the work environment but also the store’s reputation. It’s unfortunate that an excellent store like Burlington, which I have always considered a place of quality, is overshadowed by the behavior of an employee who does not represent the values or level of service one would expect. I hope this concern is taken into account to improve the experience for both customers...
Read moreFirst off I am giving this review a singular star because of the poorly managed business and how well they manage to deescalate matters that happened recently. First off I entered the store and immediately no one greeted me and the security looked at me with disdain and suspicion. I felt unwelcome like If I had received the cold shoulder. After shopping for a bit I felt claustrophobic due to such narrow aisles and no windows whatsoever. I ask myself how can the employees survive working in such an atrociously horrible environment??
After shopping for a bit I pass the aisles where the jackets are and I see people stealing and opening up underwear boxes. Where is the manager when you need them?? The male manager has no sense of urgency and no clue whatsoever to what is going on in the store during his scheduled shift.
To top it all off I asked the latino male employee where the home goods were. He looked at me up and down and walked away like if I wasn't even asking...
