Colonial Rifle & Pistol Club — Local services in New York

Unfortunately, the review I write is an unfavorable one. When at this club my experience was plagued with what all too often becomes the norm in provincial gun clubs. Rather than being truly safety conscious, at least one of the club's officers was yelling quite unprofessionally at a member and his guest over an issue that can be best described as minor. This was not only loud and public, it came off as outright abusive. While I was left to shoot undisturbed, I could not help but think that it would only be a matter of time before such an incident would happen again, and, unless I was somehow part of the "inner circle" it would one day be my turn if I continued to come often enough. Safety is one thing, but a gun range is no place for bullies, particularly in an environment where everybody is armed. My membership dollars, consequently, will go to another organization and would urge others to consider...
