I have never experienced any individual more unprofessional in my life than Mr. O'Hair (the Bald guy) who interviewed me for my visa.
When I arrived to the Polish Consulate I was waiting for my meeting which took a little longer than expected, so I went back to the security guard (who was very kind and respectful) He informed my interviewer that I was here and waiting. That's when Mr. O'Hair came over and told me to follow him. We sat down and I went to explain my reason with going to Poland, before I could even get more than a few words in he immediately interrupted me and was asking where a couple of documents were (I was going to explain to him that there were some documents that I was needing to obtain) and as I went to answer his question he got up and left, mind you he did this a couple of times during my interview without warning or informing me that he will be right back.
I don't know who you think you are talking down to people and making them feel stupid, or that they're idiots OR when you call their interview Ridiculous and staring them down like a child who did something wrong, I understand the seriousness behind visa and passport processes, but seriously have more than a little decency (trust me it's not hard) Why do YOU think you can talk to anyone like that? I did not insult you, I did not act like a toddler, I did absolutely nothing but act PROFESSIONAL and calm during and after this god awful interview. My advice to you "good sir" (if I can even call you this) is to be more professional, calm, collected, because YOU were the one who acted Ridiculous during the interview.
The only individuals I would like to exclude from this 1/5 review is the security guard and the important individual who was actually very helpful, respectful, professional, and gave me clear advice and a list which eventually got my visa accepted. They both get a 5/5 rating. But you Mr. O'Hair you get a...
Read moreI don't know how to even start. If I could leave negative stars I would. We had an emergency where we were trying to find out how to expedite a visa process for my elderly grandfather, who has a heart condition and is trying to get out of US to see his cardiologist. My grandfather flew here for 2 weeks, with adequate amount of medications for that period of time. At the airport he was denied boarding due to not having a visa, we never had this issue due to always flying transit through Poland, however due to ongoing war in Ukraine they had to drive into Poland leaving their car there. Therefor they have to fly into Poland to get to their car to drive back home to Ukraine. I emphasized that the reason we need to expedite the visa is because my grandfather has an appointment with his cardiologst in 6 days for a cardiac procedure due to new onset of his symptoms, I also specified that he is running out of his medications since the refills are at home, and i explained the possible risks of not takin this medications. To which they answered me "that is not a justifiable reason, and that i am switching up my story, and choosing not to fly through another country because it is not convenient to me", I tried explaining that if we could fly through a different country we would, however any country they fly through they will face the same issue because their personal vehicle is parked in Poland. I tried calling the consulate they hung up on me 2 times, when I tried emailing them again to get further information who I can contact they told me they will no longer answer to my emails. I tried to explain that this delay can cost my 78 year old grandfather his life, however the response I go back " your request was denied, it is not a justifiable reason". I'm glad to know that Polish consulate doesn't care...
Read moreThe older male guard or receptionist who checks your stuff, appointment, and ticket giver is just rude. People stress that they are making mistakes and if they do, generally it's by accident. Our appointment was for a citizenship matter and we clearly put in the comments our intentions. After meeting with a polite lady, she told us we had to go to someone else but we can still do the appointment.
This guard then berated us for making an honest mistake and acted like we've put something in his Cheerios. It didn't involve him and yet, he felt like he had the authority to do that. Eventually, a round face guy with round glasses came out and said "PESEL", instead of our name like we were nobodies. He came over took our documents and without saying anything, left for about 10 minutes. He came back, gave us our documents with a PESEL. He didn't talk to us and told the guard to to give us a ticket and left. The lady at the counter was great. Pani Joanna. Polite and helpful. Thank you very much.
We asked to complain about the rudeness of the guard and round face guy returned. My wife was in tears talking about his rudeness and round face essentially said, we did you favor, We did the passport for you, why are you still here, and he wasn't interested.
These are the faces that represents the government of Poland in the USA. Your are not doing anyone a favor. You are serving the citizens of Poland in the US. If you can do it, you are just doing your job. I know attitudes aren't in the job description.
To the guard, you think you're in a position of authority, you aren't. I gave you a New Yorkers attitude to match your condescending attitude there at the end. Be polite in life, be a nice guy who...
