I recently dropped my Samsung Galaxy s3 phone on the street while working and saw that although my phone was functioning as normal, my screen was cold dead. My phone is vital to my work since I drive all around Manhattan so I went to my T-Mobile store to see if they could help me figure out what was wrong with my phone. I had no phone insurance and needed my phone fixed ASAP due to my job, which requires me to drive around the city to perform pick ups and drop offs. The Herald Square t-mobile store recommended BC Wireless to fix my phone. Although I did my research online later regarding all the highly rated cell phone repair places in New York City, I ended up coming to BC Wireless because it was closest to where I had to do all my driving work errands for the day. I dropped my phone off on March 19th, all I should have walked out of the store right when I witnessed a customer yelling at one of the owners/workers. The disgruntled customer was saying how he was unhappy that his repair was taking so long and that the owner/worker should work harder to please his customers. The owner/worker yelled right back at the customer, saying "Sit down, be quite and I will fix your phone!" Again I should have walked out but I needed my phone fixed for work and I was there already. The owner/worker said that he remembered my call (I called earlier that morning explaining my situation) and that my phone would be ready in about an hour and a half. So I dropped off my phone and went off to do work errands uptown. I come back about 90 minutes later and the phone is all fixed looking like brand new, $206 later! My phone was back to work and so was I. 10 days later. It's March 29th. I'm shopping around 10:30am in a store when I notice that the colors on my phone's screen are much, much dimmer and colors are less vibrant as they were earlier this morning. I turn my phone off, still the same. I adjust my display settings, change the brightness, still the same. Restart my phone...still the same. I wait to call BC Wireless when they are supposed to open at 11:30am and there is no answer. I keep calling about 30 minutes apart until around 12:30pm I finally get another voice on the line. I explain my situation and the owner/worker says that he will need to take a look at my phone. Mind you, I'm in Long Island at the moment, so I drive all the way to Manhattan and go to BC Wireless. Now I know that they have a policy that they have "no warranty provided for liquid damage phones, LCDs or Digitizers" but I thought that the owner/worker would have some kind of heart since it had not even been 10 days since the phone was repaired. After testing my phone to see if there was a loose part inside causing the problem, the owner/worker says that it must be a "defective" LED or I must have dropped my phone or put too much pressure on it, both which are things I would not and have not done since spending $206 to repair my phone. After assuring him that that was not the case, the owner/worker said that he could give me a discount for repairing it again: $175 for parts and service. Mind you, I paid $189.99 for the repair and after taxes the repair cost $206! This was truly outrageous! Instead of admitting that he provided me with a faulty part, he basically blamed me for mistreating my phone and wanted to charge me almost the same amount for repairing it...AGAIN! Instead of calling him out on his unethical business practices, I just said to him: "I need time to think about if I should just buy a new phone" and asked for my phone back. There's no point in me repairing my screen again and spend another $100-$206 in repairs when this could very well happen again! Now I'm afraid that my phone's screen will die at any minute and I have to spend at least $400 to buy a new phone because I didn't have phone insurance. Moral of the story: get phone insurance and DON'T go to...

I've been a loyal customer for the past four plus years and each time I visit Sandeep and the gang they always justify why they're my go to choice in Midtown for cellphone repairs and on the spot passport pictures. Their cellphone prices are pretty good too, and they always go the extra mile to make sure their customers are satisfied with good deals on handsets and accessories. Sandeep and the crew are very knowledgeable and their repairs are high quality. I've always brought them some difficult repairs and they manage to pull them off, having me leave with a seemingly brand new phone.
iPhone, Galaxy, Blackberry, Nokia, HTC, LG, Sony...if it is busted and needs repair, they can fix it. And with quick turnaround times, you'll be back on the road with your mobile in no time.
I'm big on customer service and this this where these guys shine. They maintain that small personal touch whether explaining a repair, cell phone plans, handset options, or taking a passport picture.
If you're in Midtown and have had an accident with your phone, looking for a good passport picture or need a new plan or phone on a budget, BC Wireless is the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place must have changed hands- They are the official rip off shop now! My two daughters had a bad experience: First a charge for $49 and no repair- just to look at the phone! After she was told that the charge for repair would be either $129 or $299. How can you agree to that? So she paid the service charge and left with a broken phone. Second - she paid for a new screen on a iPhone 6 , a day later screen is dark. Came back to the shop and we were told that they would charge us again for another screen- - Now we know why they have bullet proof glass on the counter- Just so the man behind it can be rude and treat customers with no respect. - I would never shop there again and I will tell everyone how rude they are and what a rip off shop they run. I refused to pay them anything more than what we did already and went to Apple Store . If you don't want to pay for nothing or you don't want to pay for repairs twice just avoid this shop and...
